"Bonnie doesn't have her powers" Elena explained .
Rowan looked down and peeked at the leaving room in which Damon , Bonnie , Stefan and now Caroline were standing . She couldn't make out their conversation but it was very intense and serious , she guessed . Elena leaned against the frame of the door , in front of the bookshelves and told the other girl :
« It's hard for her . You just gotta excuse her , she's on her guard every time she feels something different. If that can reassure you , she reacted the same way when she first met Stefan ."
Rowan nodded absently and looked back to Bonnie who's eyes were pointed at her like little daggers in an odd facial expression .
"Mind if I go talk to them ? I wanna ask something."
Elena followed her to the living room and sat next to Caroline as Rowan stood in front of all of them . " Bonnie , can I ask you a question ?"
The witch stood up , staying inches away from her as if it was a casual thing to do .
" do you know if it's possible to protect Alaric and Jo's wedding from Kai ?"
Bonnie first starred at her , probably searching for an answer , then , to everyone , she spoke :
" We're too weak for him . There's no way out . It's enivitable . If we ask a witch to cast a protection spell , he'll syphon it ."
They heard Damon cough : " she's optimistic normally ..."
Rowan swiveled ans walked to Elena .
" how about we hit the road my friend? We have some searching to do ."

Of course Elena was down , they had 2 weeks to look for a solution , they decided to leave tomorrow morning , and of course Stefan and Damon were joining . More like Stefan was dragging his brother . Rowan knew where to go , New Orleans . Obviously .
It was the paradise of witches , more than Salem even was . And Klaus was there , she hoped . It was the best thing to do . She felt so bad for Jo and her babies , she wasn't a Good Samaritan but she knew she had to do something .

Stefan sat on the porch next to his friend and handed her a glass of her favorite bourbon .
" Tell me something I don't already know Stefan !"she replied with a snarky smirk.
They were good together , always there of each other , rooting for one another . A lot of people used to envy them , their constant serenity and complicity , back in the 20s .
" I have literally no spare time now ..." Stefan sighed , dropping his head down , exhausted .
Rowan leaned on a pillar and straddled the little wall , shutting her eyes and enjoying the sounds of the nature .
" It's a full time job , Stefan ... even though I totally get it , I never had a day off either ..."
Stefan moaned : " I just want one day off ."
They both chuckled at the ridiculous life they had clinked glasses to their condoned fate .

The youngest Salvatore seemed a little tipsy now , even though he couldn't technically get drunk.
" you know ... i think meanwhile we're on this trip , we can search for something else."he smirked .
" like what ?" Rowan asked , knowing the answer already . One thing she knew was that Stefan really wanted Damon's happiness .
"Really need me to spell it out for you ? Cuz I can do that ... here goes : W.E C.A.N L.O.O.K F.O.R T.H.E C.U.R.E T.O D.A.M.O.N'S A.M.N.E.S.I.A"
"Okay so that means ... we can ... look for the cure to Damon's amnesia ... yeah my ass that we're gonna find this shit ."
Stefan rolled his eyes : " think about it , New Orleans is swarming with witches ..."
The Original vampire scrunched her nose .
"You're right , I should have more hope . In fact I should be just like the big Stefan Salvatore ... full of hope and prospect ."she teased .
"I swear I'm gonna help you find that damn cure . Now I think there's something you should know before you fall face to face with it ."
Rowan arched a brow .
"Um? I'm all ears ..."
"My mom's in town ."
