I woke up with my head pounding. I was in a dark room. A door opened and let a sliver of light in. I grunted from the pain it caused my head.
"Good, you're awake."
"Fuck off."
"You've gotten some new vocabulary since we last saw each other."
"Kakashi?"
"Hi, Y/n."
"Wh-what do you want? Are you going to finish the job you failed at five years ago?"
"What a long five years it has been. But no, I'm not going to kill you Y/n."
"What do you want?" I asked. Even though the room was dark, Kakashi's silver hair was visible.
"We want information on the Akatsuki. Please cooperate with me and I won't have to turn you over to Ibiki."
"What do you wanna know?"
"First, why did you join?"
"I joined to have some protection. In case you forgot, the Leaf murdered my entire family."
"What is the Akatsuki's goal?"
With his question, my mind raced. Part of me wanted to tell him how much I hated him and the leaf. Part of me wanted to spill all of the information I had just to get into his good graces again. Kakashi's betrayal flooded my mind.
"Kakashi, I'm sorry. I can't sit here and sell out my family. I won't betray them, like you betrayed me."
"I was following orders. A lot has changed since you last saw me. What I did, made me worse than scum."
"You think?"
Kakashi looked at me, obvious pain in his one visible eye. I had used my Gekko Ninja Art several times throughout the years to check up on Kakashi. I already knew what happened to Obito and Rin. I wanted to drive my words into his chest, the way he almost drove a kunai through mine all those years ago.
"What happened to your other eye?"
"It's a long story."
"How is Obito and Rin?"
"Dead."
"Orders?" I asked with a tone meant to cut. I looked at Kakashi who was about to get up and leave. I spok again to try and keep him with me, "No, you weren't ordered to kill them, but they did die at your hand. I checked in on you from time to time Kakashi."
Kakashi didn't speak. He walked towards the door.
"This village, you, our friends, it was my pride and joy, Kakashi. I had purpose then. I loved you. Hell, sometimes I catch myself still falling into those old feelings," I took a deep breath in. "Send in Ibiki!"
Ibiki didn't come for days. In fact, Ibiki didn't come at all. About a week later Kakashi came in again.
"The elders, at the time, made the decision to get rid of the Leaf's enemy's without calling for war. It was dirty."
"I understand the Uchiha boy also faced a similar situation. Was that also an elders call? And if so, Kakashi, why are you so loyal to this village?"
"You said you loved me? And that you sometimes feel those old feelings?"
I looked at Kakashi, confused as to why the conversation was going this way suddenly. I chose to remain silent. Kakashi pulled his mask down and kissed my neck and lips.
"I would appreciate if you didn't Kakashi."
Kakashi grunted and grabbed my neck with his hand. He cut my ties loose and held me to his height.
"This was a mistake bringing you here."
"What?"
"You're in my apartment, not the questioning chamber. No one knows you're here."
"Kakashi, why?"
"I regret what I did to you. Once you left, everything started to fall apart. Every single day for the past five years I've wished I could make it right between us again."
"What are you going to do with me?"
"Honestly, Y/n, I don't know. I came across you with those two Akatsuki dead guys and just acted on impulse."
"One of those dead guys just so happens to be my boyfriend."
"I noticed, the one with the silver hair, right?" Kakashi asked as I nodded. "Well it seems you have a type, Princess."
"Don't call me that. I am not longer a princess of anything anymore."
Kakashi moved closer and caressed my cheek, "I wish I could change that for you. Do you think you could ever forgive me Y/n?"
