We stood up to grab our things Ron and Hermione went back to their compartment for their trunks, when I went to grab my trunk, Fred looked down at me and asked,
"Do you need help with that?"
I looked up at him and answered, "No I got it." As I proceeded to climb on the compartment bench to reach my trunk. After I got it down we all filed off of the train. When I hit the platform I heard a loud booming voice coming from the front of the train.
The voice bellowed, "ALL FIRST YEARS AND NEW STUDENTS TO THE FRONT! ALL FIRST YEARS AND NEW STUDENTS TO THE FRONT!"
"That's me guys see you after sorting!"
Hermione hugged me once more, wished me good luck at the sorting, and I was off. When I was almost to the front Harry pulled me aside and asked me,
"Can you tell Hagrid that I need to speak with him after the feast?"
"Is Hagrid the tall fellow?"
Harry nodded.
"Okay then, of course, Harry," I replied.
Harry pulled me into a hug "Thank you December" "No problem Harry, see you after I get sorted. Fingers crossed for Gryffindor!"
I waved goodbye and continued down the platform with the first years. Once we got to the edge of the black lake I saw little four-person boats! As we all got comfortable the boats started moving, we turned a corner and I got my first look at Hogwarts! My face light up the view was breathtaking, I couldn't wait to get inside!
