Christian Edmond Xavier

*Ringtone*

"Babe, I need to go." I lifted Liam's head from my chest.

"Why couldn't you just answer it here?"

"Okay fine." I picked up my phone.

.

"This is Christian Xavier, what could I help?"

"It's mom."

"Oh, hi mom. What's going on?"

"We need to talk to you. Could you go to our house?"

"Can I bring Liam?"

"No just you." She sighed.

"Oh okay, I'll be there in 30."

.

.

.

"Who's that babe?"

"My stepmom, she wanted to talk about something."

"Okay let me take a shower."

"No you don't need to, she said you shouldn't come there. Just take this." I tossed a car key.

"I'll meet you in the office okay." I kissed his forehead.

"Oh, okay. See you babe."

"Good morning Mr. Xavier, where are we heading today?" My driver asked me.

"Morning, drive me to my parents house."

"Okay sir."

I walked out from the car and ran through the foyer trying to find where my parents were. I saw my dad using normal clothes in the living room while sipping some wine. I never saw him being this comfortable my whole life. I saw my mom in the study. I ran to her.

"What's going on mom? I never saw dad being that comfortable." I asked her.

"Yeah, it's a big thing." She sighed.

"Okay, I'm all ears."

"I know that you've met Liam, he showed you a bunch of happiness." She started to explain.

"So this correlates with him?"

"Sadly, yes.

Your dad made a huge mistake a few years ago."

"What do you mean?"

"He signed a contract with his friend.

That by this year, if you haven't married anyone yet. He would arrange some wedding for you and his daughter."
