Everything Will be Okay

Intro: Natsu and Lucy find out that Lucy can turn into her nure-onna form and Lucy is worried about what this means for her and Natsu's future and their children. What can Natsu do for her? (A/N: This story was requested by...Ace556! Thank you so much for requesting this!)

Lucy looked down in shock at her now snakelike legs and waist. She couldn't believe what just happened. You see, she layed Igneel down for a nap, and since Natsu was out on a mission, she decided to get a nap as well. She fell asleep in her bed and woke up a while later. She could still hear Igneel's snores, but just to make sure she went to get up but immediately fell down. When she looked down, she screamed loudly. So loudly that it woke Igneel. Igneel, being 4 got out of his bed and walked into his mom and dad's room that was right beside his, and looked at the little bit of his mom's hair that was peaking over the edge.

"You alright mama? Is daddy back home?" Igneel asked excitedly. Igneel loved his mom, but ever since she became pregnant with his little sister Nashi, she hasn't been able to do too much with him. Luckily, Nashi will be born in 2 more months, then he can get his mom back. His mom couldn't sit down on the floor with him because it was hard to get up, she couldn't carry him because of weight limit, she couldn't get out much because of swollen feet. But his dad stepped in and was able to play with him during those moments. So until his little sister came, his father was his play buddy. "I'm alright Igneel. Um, why don't you go watch some TV?" Igneel could tell something was wrong with his mom, but decided not to question it since his mom has told him many times to not mess with adult business.

Lucy sighed in relief as soon as she heard Igneel leave the room. She was in panic enough, she didn't need her son to worry too. She sat there for about 10 minutes, tearing up every now and then before trying to calm herself. She couldn't cry, or Igneel would hear. She heard the sound of the living room door open and was fixing to call for Igneel to come to her, before she heard her husband's voice. "I'm home!" She quickly wiped all traces of tears and went to the bathroom as quickly as she could, stumbling a little on the way. She's not used to this snake tail yet. She's not really sure why she's hiding, she's just afraid she'll be judged. She heard her husband and son talking some in the other room before hearing her husband come closer. "Hey Luce! Come out of the bathroom." she heard Natsu say.

Lucy almost went and did it, but as soon as she moved, she remembered her issue. "Ah, no thanks Natsu. I'll be out in a bit, kay'?" In all honesty, she had no clue when she would exit. She just knew, not right then. Natsu frowned on the outside. Igneel told him something was going on with Lucy, and he could smell the salt from her tears. He suddenly had an idea. Ever since Lucy got pregnant with Nashi, she craves spicy food. Natsu grinned as he went into the kitchen and grabbed the pan of hot foot he got from Mira on his way home. "Lucy~ I got some homemade spicy food from Mira!" Natsu taunted from outside the door. Lucy could only hold her back cravings and immediately, uh, slithered her way out and grabbed the pan from Natsu. Natsu stared in shock at both Lucy's tail, and how she was shoving the food down. "I-um, uh, Luce?" Natsu couldn't say anymore, since he was very confused.

Lucy remembering what was going on felt her eyes grow big. She turned and went back inside, bringing her food with her before shutting the door. Natsu was still confused, but he went ahead and knocked on the door. "Luce, what's going on?" He could hear Lucy crying on the other side and that got him worried."Luce? Can you open the door?" He tried once again. He thought he heard Lucy mumble something, but he had no idea what. Since she never opened the door, he figured it was just her way of saying no. "Luce? Lucy, please open the door." By now Natsu was desperate. He left home with everything normal, and came back and everything was turned upside down. Lucy slowly opened the door and fell into his arms, having him pull her into the hug. Her pan of hot food was sitting on the bathroom counter behind her. "Ne, Luce? What's wrong? What happened?" Natsu asked, hugging her as tightly as he could with a baby bump in the middle of them.

"I don't really know..." Lucy responded quietly, almost like a whisper. "What do you mean?" Lucy looked up at him and explained what happened after she layed Igneel down for a nap, and what had happened up to the point he came home. Natsu was concerned, worried, panicked, he didn't know what to do. It's been about 30 minutes to 45 minutes and Lucy still hasn't changed back. Lucy started crying into his arms, "Natsu, what if I don't turn back right? What about Nashi?" Lucy started asking him. Natsu didn't know what to say, he didn't know himself, but he had to try. "Ne, Lucy. It'll all be okay. We just have to try our hardest to protect our family, okay? I'm sure it will go away in a while and you'll be fine again." Natsu said, patting her hair and rubbing her back in a way of comfort. Lucy nodded but didn't believe him. She continued to cry while Natsu held her there, until eventually she fell asleep. He carried her over to their bed and laid her down. "No matter what happens, everything will be fine. You don't have to worry, I'll make sure everything is fine." Natsu said before getting Igneel and laying down beside Lucy, Igneel in between them. Natsu had no clue what was happening, all he knew was that everything would be okay.
