Rivalry

- Chapter 2 -

Ace Pilot POV :

Seeing my best friend, (Red Panda) getting first place was amazing, my first thing was to blare my megaphone, shout her name and cry for joy until a specific SOMEONE was a complete whinger. That certain someone was Delinquent. A second ago he was getting ready with a 2 minute long speech of how his 22nd win was absolutely awesome. But turns out my bestie got the win in the end. I think that is better in a way cause I would end up leaving with my gym bag and got the heck outta there.

Even though Red Panda was happy about it she also seemed off. We won again, like how can she not be happy about that? When we got back from the change rooms Delinquent looked mad, and I mean like really mad. He mumbled something to himself about changing to the blue team. All of us were getting really worried. But we wouldn't let him win to just be a part of the red team. Me, as captain went to go speak to him before he left.

Delinquent POV :

"DELINQUENT WAIT!" someone yelled.

I spun around immediately to see it was my captain, Ace Pilot. I just kept walking. Trying to ignore her as she kept calling my name finally she managed to catch up to me.

"Delinquent, why are you so mad, and don't walk away from your captain!" she said in an angry tone. "Sorry captain, i'm not angry i'm frustrated," I hiss clutching my bag with a firm grip. As we walk to my place I explain to Ace that I don't like people who steal my wins and I could defend myself without assistance.

"Captain, I might consider changing teams", I say whilst holding my breath.

She turned her head in absolutely shock when she heard the news.

"Delinquent, you can't just leave cause someone stole your win.." Ace replied with her voice low

"WHAT ELSE CAN I DO THEN?" I shouted angrily

Ace looked at me sincerely. The thing is when I first joined the red team Ace was also new but I was older than her by 2 years or so. But she always seemed like she was the older one.

"Whatever you choose Delinquent i'll be happy" she said trying to keep a smile but I could see her expression, she looked broken.

But we knew the next match we would be enemies battling each other. I looked at the floor

'I-" stuttering but no other words came out, guilt stabbed me

( Now you feel guilty wow dude wow )

"Don't worry I know, She blurted out quickly and quickly added, Delinquent you were the best guy on our team we ever had, goodluck", she placed her hand onto my shoulder firmly and then left without a word.

Ace Pilot POV:

-Skip forward to the next day-

The announcer went off,

'FOLLOWING CONTESTANTS ENTER IN THE BATTLE ARENA:

RED PANDA, VAMPIRE, ACE PILOT, SECRET AGENT, COMMUNICATOR, AGENT AND BERET OR WAS IT FERET? WHATEVER- ENTER ARENA' AS THE RED TEAM

DELINQUENT, CONTRACTER, HOLIDAY WORKER, PERFORMER NEWSPAPER GIRL AND NEWSPAPER BOY ENTER COURSE.

I snickered when I heard that they called Beret Ferret. When I heard Delinquent's name I froze.

'He had already entered in? That quick but how-'

Too late the games had started..
