I woke up to the sounds of Moony pulling back the curtains and gasping and Sirius and I, lying down on the window seat, curled up in each others arms. I opened my eyes slowly and peeked over Sirius shoulder at Moony to see his reaction.

He was staring down at us, eyes wide and mouth open. I offered him a small weak smile and placed a finger on my lips to indicate to him that this should be kept secret, for now at least, Sirius and I need to have an unintoxicated chat first. But the shh was also to tell Moony that he just needed to be quiet in order to keep the other boys asleep.

Lupin nods and tilts his head towards the door, suggesting that he and I should go outside and talk, I look at Sirius, sleeping peacefully with me wrapped up in his arms and his head on the pillow next to us.

I don't remember the pillow from last night, all I remember was peacefully falling asleep in his arms. Sirius must have fetched it after I fell asleep, he's so cute.

I was too scared to get up, what if I wake Sirius or he gets worried that I'm gone, thinking that last night meant nothing. If it meant anything to him that is, last night meant everything to me, I finally opened up to someone, and I told Sirius how I felt, which shocked me as much as it shocked him. I snuggled into his chest a little more and got a disapproving look from Remus.

I look up at Sirius one last time and sigh as I realize that Remus wouldn't just let this go. I kiss Sirius' cheek softly and whisper in his ear. "I'll be back soon love." Just incase he was awake or could hear me at all.

I then wiggled out of his arms as slowly as possible, so I didn't wake him, Moony turned and walked towards the door as I stood up and took one last look at the tranquility of the scene that I saw in front of me, Sirius Black sleeping, his chest steadily rising up and down, with the backdrop of a golden sky. This lighting lit his face perfectly and accentuated his best features. I smile and reluctantly follow Moony out of the door and close it gently to keep the other 3 boys asleep.

"So. What was that?" Remus cuts straight to the point.

"What was what exactly Mister Lupin? You could be asking about anything right now." I ask cluelessly, trying to avoid any line of questioning about Sirius and our friendship or relationship or whatever it was.

"You and Sirius cuddling on the window seat? And that kiss last night? It was certainly not any old kiss, if I had dared you to kiss James it would have been very different indeed. The way that your heart beats increase around each other. That sort of thing." Moony says coolly, enjoying the power that he has in the form of intelligence.

"Oh that. I mean, it's just me and Sirius Moony, you know how we are. Always been so close and we are just like best friends. You know?" I say awkwardly as my hands start to shake and I break into a slight sweat, recalling the perfect evening I had with Sirius last night, that WAS so much more than a friendship. But I had to be so careful not to show this on my face, but Moony could already tell, I wasn't sure why I was trying to lie to him, Moony always saw straight through me.

"Well no. Map, what you guys have now is way more than a friendship. I sensed it over summer with Sirius, he couldn't stop talking about you, I had an inkling you might feel the same after seeing the way you have been looking at him since we've been back. You can tell me the truth Mappy, I'm not here to judge, I just want to make sure that everyone is happy, and the group dynamic doesn't get ruined and all that bollocks." Lupin says with hopeful, excited eyes and a serious, concerned tone to his voice.
