- Mariela Pangbourne -

Sirius and I cleared up the drinks and any rubbish from various chocolate frogs in absolute silence.

It was awkward and kind of scary.

After everything was cleared up, we moved over to the window seat and Sirius drew the curtains behind us, to put a noise barrier between us and the sleeping boys.

"So... That was quite the kiss Miss Pangbourne" Sirius smiled down at me.

"It was indeed..." I say as my face flushed with heat.

Did he feel it too?

"It was more than just a game, right? It certainly felt like a hell of a lot more at least, I mean you don't just kiss your best friend like that in a game it was so -" Sirius started to ramble on, he did this when he was nervous.

"Are you nervous? I say jokingly, cutting off his ramble, as I push his leg with a small smirk on my face, trying to diffuse the very awkward tension that was hanging around us.

"Um, a little?" Sirius said with a small laugh as he brushed the back of his neck with his hand and stared at his lap.

I hold his chin and pull his face up, so our eyes are level, "What do you want to ask me Sirius?"I say slurring my words slightly from all of the alcohol I had consumed.

"Nothing that you can answer drunk Maps, don't worry" Sirius says smiling at me, our faces still close.

"Oh yeah? Try me, in fact, you are more honest when you're drunk, I am also only partly tipsy, not drunk drunk." I say with a huge grin plastered across my face.

"Okay then, prove it" Sirius says with a grin stretching ear to ear.

Are we flirting?

"How would you like me to prove that I am not going to pass out on you any time soon?" I question, slightly anxious for the response.

"I want you to walk across to the other side of the room and back, in a straight line without waking the other three." Sirius said with glee as though that would be a difficult task to complete.

"Easy!" I whisper-shout as I open the curtains and stand up from the seat. I then walk in a straight line to the wall, turn around and walk back, "See!" I say, throwing my arms out, having completed the task effortlessly.

Sirius grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap, and I tried not to explode in a fit of giggles. We pulled the curtains back behind us and I sat curled up in Sirius lap staring out into the jet-black night. Sirius began to stroke my hair and I felt like I was melting, it was a perfect moment.

"So back to that kiss then." Sirius said with a crack of nervousness in his voice.

"What about it?" I ask innocently, looking up into his gorgeous green eyes.

"Was it more than just a kiss to you? Because I don't know if it was just me or not, but I felt something, something that perhaps suggested there was meaning behind that kiss." Sirius said with a confidence that I found so god damn attractive.
