Chapter 12

Bryce POV:

I woke up this morning to Addison in my arms. I began to leave kisses all over her face, and she looked up and smiled. She then pulled me into a kiss. 

A: Good Morning Baby

B: Good Morning, Gorgeous. 

A: I'm gonna take your mom out today, so maybe you can spend some time with Caleb.

B: You taking Mia?

A: No, only your mom

Addison got up and went into the shower. As I made my way downstairs to find something to eat, I noticed the house was extremely quiet. I looked in the fridge and got out the stuff to make breakfast. As I was making breakfast, I heard my mom walk downstairs.

L: My little boy is all grown up

B: Momma does not cry.

L: I'm just proud of you, Bryce, and I'm excited to spend the day with Addison. That girl must really love you to fly us down here. I'm surprised it took yall this long. I mean, just watching the both of you yesterday, I could see the way you fit.

B: Ya, but the media doesn't know yet, mom. I feel like they are gonna judge Addison for dating her personal assistant. I mean, everyone knows Addison can have anyone she wants, so it doesn't make sense why she wants to me. 

L: Bryce, it makes perfect sense. The media may not understand it, but it's not for the media to understand. It's for you two to understand. Addison loves the way you know her better than herself. She loves how you can get her without her having to say anything. She loves that you love her in glam and sweats. 

A: And most importantly, I love how you love me for me. You don't see the famous me. You see the goofy me, the crazy me, the family me. You love me for how I am and not what the world sees me, Bryce. I didn't mean to listen, but I caught the end of your mom's sentence on my way downstairs. But, we are gonna go enjoy your day, and we will all go out for dinner.

I walked over to my mom and kissed her cheek. I then walked over to Addison and kissed her lips. As they left the house, I began to eat my breakfast. As I was eating, I felt arms wrap around my waist and lips on my neck. I pushed her back and turned around to see Mia with a smirk on her face.  She then walked closer to me. 

M: Come on, Bryce, you used to love when I kiss your neck and run my hands along with your abs. 

B: Well, now it is making me sick and extremely repulsed. So get your hands off of me before I have to call my girlfriend. And she doesn't like violence, but for you, she will make a special exception.

M: What do you see in her.

B: Everything and more that you will never be. I love her more than I love myself, and that love is hard to come by. But, wait, you wouldn't know about being in love because you cheated on me with my best friend, and now you are trying to cheat on my brother with me. When will you learn to be a better person?

M: I don't want to be with Caleb Bryce. You should have never broken up with me. I was everything to you. How can you just drop me like I was nothing? Every time you came home, you never spoke to me. You saw me.

B: Why would I, Mia? We were broken up. I don't understand what you want from me like I can't give it to you, so go look for it somewhere else. 

Just then, Mia put her lips on mine. As I pushed her back, I saw Caleb at the bottom of the stairs. This is exactly what I didn't want. But, of course, not everything was about to go left.

Ca: What the hell Bryce? Why would you kiss my girlfriend?

B: You can't be serious right now. 

M: Caleb, I explained to him that we are together now, and he kept telling me that he didn't care. 

I watched Mia run into Caleb's arm in disbelief. 

Ca: I knew you were jealous as soon as you asked me why I was with Mia. News flash Bryce you broke her heart. Now you don't even want to see your own brother happy. I am calling Addison because I am getting out of Los Angelos. I can't stand being here knowing my brother wants my girlfriend. 

As Caleb walked upstairs, Mia walked over to me with a big evil smile on her face. 

M: Sucks that your poor little brother is so blinded by love to see the real thing. Not only did you lose your brother, but you are about to lose your celebrity girlfriend. 

B: What is your plan, Mia?

M: Turn everyone you love against you so that you are stuck with me. It'll be us forever, Bryce, and once you get that through your head, life will be a lot easier for everyone. 

Addison POV:

I drove Lisa and I to the closest mall so that we could do some shopping. I would be going to Texas to shoot some scenes for the movie soon and need more comfortable clothes. As more time went on, I began to see why Bryce worked so hard. He only had his mom, and she was everything to him. This is exactly why I spoiled Lisa. Of course, she was not for the idea. But, I admired her so much the type of woman she was the way she raised her boys. 

A: Before you leave, I would love to introduce you to my mom, if that's okay. You guys are so much alike. 

L: Of course, Darling. How are you?

A: What do you mean?

L: I mean, how are you, Addison, really?

A: No one ever asked me that before... I guess I am okay. Fame gets a lot, and it's overwhelming. There are many times I want to quite. The hate and having to feel perfect all the time is something that is the worst. I knew what I signed up for, but I don't mean to sound ungrateful. But I don't think I'm meant for this life anymore. 

L: What do you mean, Addison?

A: I mean that after this movie, I think I am done with Hollywood.

As Lisa was about to talk, she heard her phone ring. As she picked up the phone, I saw she looked worried. As she hung up the phone, she looked at me, and I could tell she had bad news.

L: Addison, I don't want to scare you, or I don't want you to jump to conclusions about what I am about to say...

A: Okay

L: Caleb just called me wanting to go home to Maryland

A: Why is it something I did? Does he not like it here?

L: No, darling, it has nothing to do with you. He walked downstairs and caught Mia and Bryce kissing. Now he has this whole scenario that Bryce is trying to steal his girlfriend, and I think we should get back.

A: Yes, of course

I didn't want Lisa to see me mad, so I made sure to keep my composure. But I knew there was no way Bryce could kiss her. But, what if he had missed her? They had been together for years, and he was second-guessing himself. So, of course, if he didn't trust her, she would be the first person's arms he ran into. Maybe planning this trip was a mistake. And maybe dating Bryce, in general, was a mistake within itself.
