[Doritos crusted chicken tenders! Yes please!]
Chris' pov:
I giggled as Nate dragged me from my spot next to him on the couch to his lap. I happily stretched my legs out to the side and cuddled into his chest.
We were watching Sweet Home Alabama. After finding out he's only seen three minutes of it, I just had to invite him over so we could watch it together.
I sighed as it ended. It's such a good movie. Nate chuckled and kissed the top of my head.
"That was pretty good, baby." he stated as he squeezed me closer.
"It's not good! It's the best!" I exclaimed as I stared at him in shock and angry.
What does he mean "pretty good"? That movie is the bomb, the winner, bae, life, amazing, stupendous, and the list goes on and on!
"Well, okay then. Anyway, are you ready for our date?" he asked.
"Yes! Let's go!" I squealed as I jumped up out of his lap, quickly forgetting about his underrating of the movie.
"Okay, let me grab the keys from the kitchen and we'll go."
I nodded and ran to the door. I can't wait to go! We're going to the zoo! I haven't been in forever! I wonder if they still have MoMo, the dancing monkey?
"Ready?" Nate asked as he met me at the door.
"YES!"
He chuckled and opened the door to let me go threw first. I blushed and turned to walked outside. However, I was quickly stopped.
"It's raining!" I said in shock.
"Raining? That's a storm, babe. Looks like we're not going to the zoo today." Nate sighed and shut the door.
I pouted and turned to him. He smiled sadly and hugged me tight.
"I really wanted to go." I whispered sadly.
"I know, Chris. On the bright side, we can still hang out together here! How about we make dinner and have a date night at home?" he suggested cheerfully.
"But I can't cook." I mumbled, blushing my embarrassment.
"Well, I'll cook and you just sit there and look as gorgeous as ever." he said before releasing me and walking towards the kitchen.
I smiled softly as I followed him. He's so sweet! How did I get so lucky? Nate's anyone's dream and here he is, wanting to cook me dinner! Gah, I just lo-
Woah! Was I really just going to? Surely not! I mean, we've only been dating for two months! I've never been in a relationship before but isn't there like a waiting period before you can say that word? I don't know. Maybe I just like him...a lot.
"Ummm, Chris? I was hoping you would follow me all the way to the kitchen, not stop halfway there." Nate chuckled.
I blushed and scrambled to the kitchen. I took a seat at the table and turned to watch Nate. He smiled and walked towards the refrigerator. He opened up the freezer side and began digging through it. Nate later popped out with a bag of chicken tenders.
"Hope you don't mind something with chicken. It's the only thing that's not a microwaveable dinner in here."
"O-Oh that's fi-ine!" I said embarrassed.
'I should buy better groceries next time I go shopping.' I mentally noted.
He nodded and left the fridge to look through the cabinets. I quickly looked away, a blush gracing my cheeks.
