If I could travel back in time
the first thing I could do is doing less than I did
If I could travel back in time
I could have made you fill your words with meaning
If there was this button
this power
this higher source
that could unbreak what now is broken,
that could unspeak the spoken words,
that could have made me walk faster when I was stronger-
rather than breaking down on my knees on the wrong spot
for me to stay at.
If I could change the past
If I could change how things were going
Would I or would I not?
Because for now, I'm weak and in grief
But the pain of today
is the strength of tomorrow.
So if I could travel back in time
All I'd change
Is myself
Which I still can do
in the presence~
~Let's start over, anew, angel
it's bitter today
but sweet tomorrow. . . . . . . . . . . . <3
