Logan sat at the kitchen table reading a book. He sighed peacefully, as he flipped each page. It's nice to get away from all the commotion, He thought, Patton and Roman are quite energetic. Much more than I or Virgil, and it can be quite draining. Though, Virgil isn't exactly free of blame either, just less-energy consuming.

Almost as if directly on cue, Logan's phone lit up beside him. It was, coincidentally, a text from Virgil, "I'm anxious and really lonely, you're probably the only one awake, right? Can you come out to the balcony?"

Logan sighed and closed his book, and then got up and made a cup of coffee. When it was done, he walked up to his room and put down his book before grabbing a blanket. Then he made his way up to the balcony where Virgil was waiting for him.

Upon seeing Virgil, he was prompted to check in on him. "Are you okay?" Virgil nodded and sighed with relief as Logan sat down next to him. "Why are you out here so late?" Virgil cuddled up next to Logan as he wrapped the blanket around them both. "I got really lonely. Like, irritatingly lonely. You know how I get, anyways- then existential dread started to set in. That is what you said it was right? When like, I start to realize I'm never going to do anything meaningful with my life and-" Logan cleared his throat, "Yes Virgil, that is correct." Virgil nodded and continued, "Well yea - That. Then I got really anxious about the future and everything and I just.... I don't know, the nighttime is really comforting so I came up here. But I guess it just - wasn't as fulfilling as I hoped."

Logan nodded, and cuddled up closer to Virgil. "That's alright, I suppose. Would you like to come inside?" Virgil hesitated for a second, "Maybe in a bit. I'm kindof enjoying the peace.." Logan said okay, and they sat for a while. Virgil let his legs hang down between the bars and over the ground below them. Logan began humming a tune, waiting for Virgil to give a signal, either for them to go inside or for him to initiate a conversation. It was important to him that he didn't engage in anything unwanted, and he needed to be patient with Virgil. And Virgil appreciated this dearly, he found it considerate and sweet.

Virgil pulled his hood over his head and started to pick at his arms, it was clear that now was the time to do anything - As long as it wasn't just asking if he was okay.

"Virge"
"Hm?"
"Do you uh-"

Logan nodded toward the door and Virgil shook his head no. Logan nodded understandably, and appointed his attention to the sky. "Do you recognize any of the constellations?" Virgil looked up, and stared for a few seconds before shaking his head. "No, but that one's the North Star, I think." He pointed to a star brighter than any others surrounding it, and Logan nodded approvingly "Yep, That's the north star." He pointed towards it, and then moved his arm around a bit, pointing out different constellations. "This ones Pegasus - That ones Scorpius. Over here is Ursa Minor and a bit to the right is Ursa Major."

Virgil smiled, "Thank you,"
Logan smiled too, and looked over to him. "You're welcome, feel free to come to me any time you're craving an info-dump about the stars."

They chuckled, and Virgil stood up. Logan grabbed his blanket and coffee, and stood up as well. "Going inside?" Virgil nodded, and Logan held the door open for him. They made their way to Logan's room where once again he held open the door and invited Virgil in.

"Would you mind if I slept in here tonight?" Virgil asked, pulling off his hoodie and tossing it onto a chair pushed under Logan's desk. "Not at all, make yourself at home."

Logan finished the last sip of his coffee, and set it on his desk. "You can make a pallet on the floor, or you're welcome to sleep in my bed. Though I must warn you, I tend to curl up to things in my slumber." Virgil chuckled, "I don't see a problem with that" Logan smiled, and ruffled a hand through Virgil's hair.

They nestled into bed, and Logan set his glasses on his nightstand.

"Goodnight, Virge."
"Night, L."

Logan wrapped his arms around Virgil's waist, and buried his face into the crook of his neck. He snored gently into Virgil's ear as he dozed off, and Virgil leaned into the soft noise. He held Logan's hand that was placed around his hips, and fell asleep in his serene embrace. Mumbling nonsensical murmurs throughout the night, and subconsciously smiling to himself knowing that he was safe.
