What is Evil?
Can evil be described as a middle aged man bludgeoning his wife, dismembering and storing her body in a trash bag and then dumping it in an abandoned factory three miles out of town?
Perhaps you think of evil, bowing your head during church on Sunday, while listening to your pastor preach about hellfire and sin.
Is evil something that exists solely within the human race? Studies have been conducted posing the question of whether animals kill for pleasure or sport rather than only for food. Take Lions for example, who are known to murder the cubs of a female lion in order to force her into heat. Or Ants who are known to go to war and even enslave survivors of the losing colony.
The only thing that can be absolutely certain about evil, is that within every single human being born to this earth, the potential to be bad (ill, depraved, barbaric) lies within each and every one of us.
It's only a matter of seeing what it takes to bring it out.
