"I can't deal with this!" yelled an angry voice, a loud bang echoed down the hall of the headquarters.

"We're trying our best to bring him out of there." said a stern calm voice.

"The mission was a failure, you can't just act like nothing happened!" shrieked the first voice again, a little more high strung than the last time she spoke.

"Commander-" he was cut off as the angered woman fell to her knees holding her head in her hands.

The man quickly knelt beside her, grabbing hold of her wrists to keep her upright as her breath quickened.

"W-why am I l-like this?" she gasped, leaning back against her desk, "I'm s-supposed to be the leader here, I can't even control m-my panic..."

"It'll be alright, E'." said the older man releasing the woman's wrists as he stood again.

The white haired woman shook her head black streaks of hair fluttering around her pale face.

"What if he's hurt?" she asked fervently, "I can't risk losing one of the best officers here."

The man sighed, looking down at the woman as she fidgeted with a pen nervously.

"He'll be alright, Eclipse." he started, running a hand through his hair. "He always makes it back alive."

Eclipse dropped the pen on the ground with a small clatter as she stood hugging herself.

"If you're sure. But I'm still going to try and get him out of there." she said, "And you can't tell me otherwise."

The man waved the commander off shaking his head. "Wouldn't plan on trying to change your mind."

Eclipse glared at the man before shaking her head. "I'm headed out to the last location he was in." she said pulling her hair into a ponytail.

"Be careful, E'." he replied, crossing his arms, watching the white haired woman walk towards the door to leave.

"When have I ever been careful, Venomstrike?" she asked ruefully, walking out of the room and down the hall.

Eclipse pulled her bagging police uniform jacket closer to herself, staring at the ground as her hair whipped around her face in the wind.

Walking up a dirt trail she looked up scanning her surroundings dimly.

The few living trees swayed in the wind their leaves shriveled and changing colors. In the distance, a run down building loomed eerily over the treetops.

Eclipse rested her hand on her gun at her side as she neared the building.

Pausing only a moment before kicking the door open in one quick movement. Walking inside the dark empty corridor, the young woman pulled out a flashlight shining it around the hallway.

She stopped walking as the light of the flashlight reflected off a bright red pool of blood.

Eclipse's stomach pooled with anxiety as she continued forward, following the trail of blood cautiously.

As the young woman rounded the corner she froze at the sight before her.

A red headed man laid half propped up against the wall, looking around dizzily. He had a scowl on his face as he clutched his side with a pained expression.

Eclipse stepped around the corner watching the man carefully as she slowly walked to him. Her hand tensely gripping the gun at her side.

"Come t-to finish me off?" he asked, his words slightly slurred.

Eclipse froze watching the man silently. The red head was staring at the floor to his left, opposite of his wound where a puddle of blood pooled around him.

"No." stated Eclipse simply, letting her hand fall to her side away from the gun as she walked closer to the man, studying him.

"Th-then why are you h-here?" he asked quietly, as Eclipse kneeled beside him.

The young woman didn't answer him as she moved his hand away from the wound looking down at a large gash, blood seeping through his shirt.

"How long have you been like this?" she asked sternly, pressing a cloth to the wound.

The cloth instantly turned red, making Eclipse frown deeply.

"A f-few day. . ." he gasped, clenching his blood covered fists.

Eclipse pulled out her phone dialing the emergency number as she kept the cloth held to the man's side.

Growling in frustration she threw the cell phone across the empty room.

"Come on," she said in a softer tone, pulling the man to his feet, "My car is out front."

The man shook his head slightly as Eclipse helped him walk towards the exit.

The young woman watched the man out of the corner of her eye as they walked towards the black and white Chevy Camaro.

Helping the man lay down in the backseat Eclipse closed the door and jumped into the front, grabbing the police radio she had hooked up on her dashboard.

"I have an injured civilian in my vehicle," she started keeping her voice calm and steady. "Identification: Unknown at the moment. I require assistance upon arrival of destination."

The man watched Eclipse as she put the radio back and started the engine as she raced down the road towards the city.

Adjusting her rearview mirror, Eclipse watched the redhead closely.

"You kn-know you . . .didn't have to help m-me. . " he stated dryly, meeting her gaze.

Eclipse rolled her eyes looking back out at the road, "I wasn't about to leave you to die." she said, her voice empty and cold.

"Sure you could've." he continued, a slight rasp in his voice, "I'm a mafia member, and you're a cop."

Eclipse shook her head slightly pulling onto the highway. "I'm not as different from you." she said calmly, "I think you can change if you wanted to. Especially since one of your own team members did this to you."

The man fell silent for a moment thinking over the young cop's words carefully.

Eclipse glanced back at him and smirked slightly at the man's silence as she pulled up to the emergency side of the hospital.

"Think about it." she said before getting out of the car helping the doctors and nurses that came out to get the young man.

Once they took the young man inside Eclipse got back into her vehicle and drove off back towards the station.
