Sounds of pure mayhem erupted around her as she broke stasis. A red light flashed above her, swaying across the small pod she fell in, the beeping and flashing of controls around her the worst possible alarm clock. Her other half was nowhere to be seen as the pod plummeted toward the planet below. The controls started to fizzle and crackle, showing how well she had put the pod together. But it wasn't like she had a lot of time. Next to her, a screen flickered to life as her only working optic watched it struggle to present information.
Planet Designation: Earth
That was all she could read as the screen erupted in a fury of sparks, leaving her a cursing mess.
Was this it? After everything that had happened, this is how she went offline? Countless millennia at war, many more millennia in the pits, and she dies in a crash landing? Then again, Fate was always cruel.
Suddenly, the thermos shields shattered, allowing the burning flames of the atmosphere to tear at her protoform. She cried out in pain, yet couldn't hear herself as the pod was torn apart around her.
And with a fatal boom, she collided with the Earth, her new surroundings going black, plunged into the Darkness that was Earth.
