"Now, Starscream?" The Decepticon leader asked, somewhat impatient as his second in command gave an evil chuckle.
"Now."
And all it took was a single tap.
The Spacebridge hummed to life, like a portal to hell with those shimmering bright colours swirling into a beautiful vortex. The flower of colour bloomed out to the metal structure it was contained within, which glowed a fluorescent blue upon activation. As it struck the ground the Autobots stood on, they felt the surge of electrocution through their legs, a tingling reminder of how unimaginably strong this Portal truly was. The Vehicons around them took a few steps back (those that were still alive, anyway) and the Autobots realised their playing field was cut in half.
The moment the Vehicons stepped back, the Autobots were given a moment to gaze up to the Nemesis as a dark, shimmering Purple became apparent on board. There was Megatron, an enormous chunk of Dark energon on his back that only he (with his brute strength) could ever hoist. "At last!" He growled to none but himself, just before he gave a roar of frustration and flung the huge chunk toward the Space Bridge. It flew at astronomical speed, giving Optimus no time to pull his gun up and aim precisely to strike it. In it hurtled, straight through the gorgeous greens and blues that practically swallowed the chunk in its horrid jaws.
Megatron stood aboard the Nemesis, gazing into the Space Bridge with a poisonous greed, From his optics and chest rolled a thick purple that curled up and down around him like fog, his spark making a strange chittering sound that echoed around him, that great pleasurable feeling coursing through his veins like a drug.
"Arise, My Legion!" He yelled out, his voice projecting across the stars to his home world, where billions of Autobots and Decepticons crawled out of the metal ground, wielding their weapons in their undead digits.
"So... how do we beat a whole Planet of the Undead?" Asked Bulkhead, who voiced the question all longed to ask. They all had slumped shoulders, all lost in pure terror of the battle they would need to partake in. It was like they were in the War for Cybertron again. Only this time they were fighting Autobots too.
"Optimus!" Barked Ratchet through the commline, the beeping of his monitor showing just how hard he worked back on Earth. "I'm registering a rapidly expanding mass in the Space Bridge Vortex, One with a peculiar energy signature." Fowler limped up to the small catwalk that the others stood on, having just returned from the Dishes in Texas via Ground Bridge.
"Dark Energon." Optimus confirmed their dread, sounding quite defeated himself.
"Ratchet, we must destroy the Spacebridge!" The mech in question dropped his helm slightly. While he understood why it needed to be destroyed, he was disheartened to know that they would have to be rid of the only thing that could take him back home. Even if it was on a broken planet.
"There is enough live energon coursing through it to achieve detonation. But we lack the firepower to ignite it." The Doctor rolled his optics, looking away from the screen.
"If I knew how the Spacebridge was engineered, I might find a technical way of accomplishing that feat." But then, through the bars of the Catwalk came Rafael's arm.
"Uhm... would Schematics help?" He asked, presenting the small USB to the mech in front of him, who looked back up in slight shock.
"Optimus, I must say. The Spacebridge is our sole hope of ever returning to Cybertron. Are you certain its destruction is the only option?" The Humans on the catwalk guffawed, shocked that the mech had the audacity to state that his dead planet was worth more than their living, heavily populated one. But thankfully, the voice of reason echoed through the commline.
