I ate my cereal in silence with my mum leaning over a newspaper. She broke the silence "Are you excited for school?" She asked her voice high pitched like a little girl who just got a new doll. "Sure mum!" I lied rolling my eyes at her "That's wonderful!" She exclaimed. I smirked "It will be fun getting teased and eating In the bathroom." I murmured my mothers eyes glazed onto mine "That's not going to happen," She said biting her lip. I rolled my eyes "Brooklyn don't roll your eyes at me." She pleaded "Fine, I probably won't have any friends." I groaned I didn't want to go to a new school I had many friends at my old school. There was Amy, Annie, Tory, Alex, Will..... My thoughts trailed off. I missed Will, I missed his shaggy brown hair and ocean blue eyes I thought dreamily. The thought nagged me so I got up and washed my bowl.

Me and my mum pulled up to Northwest high school teenagers were scattered around some were drinking alcohol others were huddled in groups. "God, mum do I really have to do this?" I asked as I rubbed my glasses nervously. "Yes honey," she says she must have noticed I was worried so she embraced me as I left the car. I bit my lip and rushed towards the school I stopped when I saw a boy step in front of me "Hey, who are you?" He asked me smiling "Er my name is Brooklyn." I replied staring at the ground. "Well Brooklyn, how about me and you go on the second floor in the boys bathroom." He said licking his lips as he looked me up and down. "No." I said pushing him out of my way "Woah babe not so fast." He said catching my hand "Let go!" I demanded I felt sickness rise in me "Your feisty," he replied calmly "I like the feisty ones the most." He said grinning. I looked around to see my escape two girls were blocking it. "Get off you perv." I growled as quick as lightning I slapped him. I walked out fast hearing him moan in pain behind me "Who's that?" A girl asked "Brooklyn Hayes." I snapped going to I think the office. "Hey. Do you need help?" A boy asked I looked to see a boy with black shaggy hair and deep brown eyes "Um sure." I quickly said as we walked to the office to grab my map of the school.
"So, I saw what you did to that boy." He mumbled "Don't remind me." I groaned "Sorry, but I thought you took the situation well." He complimented me. I felt my cheeks flush "Thanks." I mumbled smiling "No problem." He replied. "Where did you use to live?" He asked I felt my gaze look to the floor. "Australia." I said biting my lip his eyes went wide. "No way! I always wanted to see the elephants there!" He exclaimed his eyes filled with jealously. "Maybe I can take you sometime." I purred winking at him. He blushed "That would be perfect." He mumbled he took a step closer to me. I gulped as I saw his inviting lips about to connect with mine "Austin!" A voice screeched I looked to see a blonde girl with green eyes look at Austin. "Where were you?" She questioned she then looked at me for the first time "Get away from him." She growled I looked at her surprise. "Sorry." I murmured taking a step away from Austin. "Babe, it's not what you thi-" he stumbled just as the girl stepped up to him connecting each others lips together. I bit my lip and ran to the nearest girl I could find. "Hi do you know where the office is?" I asked she backed up away from me terror filled her eyes "Are you that girl that punched Justin?" She asked nervously. "Yea, the Perv can you just show me?" I whined she nodded and pointed to a door. "Thanks!" I exclaimed flashing my perfect teeth at her. I got my map and headed to first hour.
