**Yasmin's POV**
"Jason!Jason, where the hell are you?" I whisper-yelled. I heard a rumbling in the bushes and soon my brothers blue eyes poped up. I rushed over to embrace him.
"Yasmin, why are you dressed like that." He asked staring at my sparkling yet dirty dress and heels.
"Tonight is daddy's party." I said in a duh tone.
"Well, I forget since you haven't been here in 2 weeks" He said. I glared at him.
"Well, Mother has me doing lessons and community projects back to back" I said. It was true. She said my fathers money and reputation can only take me so far. I wanted to go to Blarenton School Of Film and Photography (A/N: not a real place)but mother insisted on an Ivy league.
"I'm sorry, but I had to stretch out a pack of pop tarts and some cereal." He said pouting lightly.
"No I'm sorry its just I have cheer practice, than piano lessons, and my dance lessons plus additional vocabulary skills and a math and physics tutor," I said quickly,I felt guilty. I absolutely hate it when people say they will do something and then don't or hold it off as long as possible.
"Its okay now let's go" He said lightly. I smiled and followed him to the cabin where he was staying.
The reason my brother is hiding out is because he is a convicted felon. He was charged with 1st degree murder, but I know he didn't do it. Someone framed him or something. I still remember the day he came to me for help.
~flashback begins~
I was listening to music, when I heard someone at my window.
"Yasmin, damn it I'm about to fall" My brothers voice came out. I rush over to the window pulling it open. Jason was standing on the patio roof. I hurried and pulled him in.
"Jason what are you doing here?!" I practically shout. He covers my mouth and makes sure I'm calm before continuing.
"Please Yas,you gotta help me," He starts. He was taken into custody yesterday. The police charged him with murder. I wonder how he got out.
"How did you even get out" I ask him in a panicked whisper.
"Well, you know the jail isn't really big(only one security guard) so when the guard took a lunch break,I climbed out a hole I found a couple days ago. He explained quickly.
"Omg! Well I will help you but answer one question?" I pause. "Did you kill Regina Johnson" there I said it.
"No Yasmin, look me in my eyes and say you believe me" he pleads with me. I look at him, right in his eyes and I believed him. He did not kill Regina Johnson.
"I believe you,but Jason this is crazy. What if they look for you, if I get caught I can face jail time" I yell quietly. I knew enough about crime shows to know that hiding a convicted felon was a crime.
"Okay, I know but please. Just until we find who the real killer is." He pleaded, his blue eyes looking into my gray eyes. I knew I was gonna give in,
"Okay,but you'll need a place to hide"
~end of flashback ~
By now Jason and I had walked all the way to the lake.
"I have to pee,I'm going behind this tree" Jason said. I made a disgusted face, but nodded. He was really being lazy since the cabin was just up the trail, but to each his own.
A flash of white in the brown dirt caught my eye. I picked up a piece of paper. Yasmin George. Franchesca Bishop.
