You ducked when Bakugo swung his right fist at you, you quickly grabbed his arm and kneed him in his stomach, causing him to hunch over. He growled lowly at you and grabbed you by your waist, throwing you onto the ground.

" Jesus, what's with you throwing me onto the ground today Kat" You said looking up at him, you pushed yourself up onto your elbows, you were at your daily training session with Bakugo, every night you went over to the woods behind his house and trained with him, sometimes with quirks but most times not.

" You're weak, you rely on your quirk too much" he spat out and you just groaned and laid back down flat, looking up at the sky " Maybe" you said not really being bothered by it.

He wanted you to be strong on your own, he pushed you harder then he pushed himself. He wants you to keep up with him so he doesn't have to leave you behind.

" Again, lets go idiot" he said and pulled you up, pushing you back a bit. You stumbled and caught your balance. " No- I can't, i have dinner with my mothers boyfriend tonight" you sat, he groaned and wiped his forehead with his arm.

" That hobo looking ass guy again?" he said, laughing a bit. Bakugo was more protective then he'd like to admit. You laughed and walked over grabbing your coat and sliding it on.

" He's not that bad" You said and he just rolled his eyes " Whatever, don't start slacking off either, its a few weeks until the exam" he said and you groaned again, slouching over. All he ever wanted to talk about was the exam, of course you were worried about it but not as much as him and Izuku.

" Kat- I know, we train for like four hours a day everyday, you're killing me dude" you said walking over to him and placing your hands on his shoulders " Relax- AH!" You screamed out as wrapped his leg around yours, tripping you. He had caught you and was now smirking down at you. " Never" he laughed " Never let your guard down - Y/n"

The way his eyes looked in the moonlight was amazing, almost like they were glowing a beautiful red. Whenever moments like these would happen it felt like time slowed down, the anger and stress he always wore on his face was gone, replaced by affection and want.

It never came though.

You blinked and broke the eye contact as he brought you back up, distancing himself a few steps. " Don't kill the guy at dinner, dumbass, be nice" he said and you giggled and waved to him as you started to walk off.

" You know me! I'm so nice!" you teased and he flipped you off. You smiled to yourself as you put your hands in your pockets and made your way back home.

Why did he always look at me like that, you thought to yourself as you recalled all the moments he'd ever looked at you with that same softness, only ever lasting a few seconds.

When you walked into your house, which was just across the street from Bakugos you put your coat back in the closet and followed the sound of voices to the kitchen.

" Hey mom" you spoke and she spun around, a wide smile on her face, she wiped her hands on her apron and walked over to you, giving you a hug and a kiss on the forehead. " How was training? Gosh if that boy doesn't stop sending you home with cuts and bruises"

You stopped her, grabbing her hands in yours " It's fine, I can take it- I'll go get washed up and come back down okay?" You said smiling and she nodded and let your hands go.

You were happy she was dating someone, they seemed to be getting pretty serious, you liked the guy, he just seemed a bit boring to be honest.

You walked upstairs and hopped in the shower and got dressed in some casual clothes before making your way back downstairs.
