-Orphaned before birth
-Taken care of by her commander and his family from time to time (so not always)
-Grew up on battlefields and in camps
-Self taught on almost everything she knows through trial and error, reading, watching others, creating new ideas, and lots of practice
-Moved to Japan with work
-Not allowed to play on female sport teams for reasons
-Found and learned about baseball,
Played club baseball as pitcher/catcher,
Was kicked off the team the day before national finals...the team lost the next game so they disbanded (obviously blaming her)
-Met her very first friend (Keiji Akaashi),
Since she didn't have club anymore she spent lots of time with him
-Forced to move away for work
-Her commander and his son showed her volleyball in their free time
-Her brother (commander's son) made a promise with her before he died, she'd play and enjoy the sport he loved
...
Years later, she now lives in Japan until after high school graduation.
