Ch 3. Our Manager?

No one's pov

All classes have come to an end when the bell rang. The boys volleyball team had met up around the club room, now waiting for the captain to unlock the door.

"Come on Kuroo, we don't got all day!"
"Yeah! Who knows what the coach will make us do if we're late again..."

"Yeah yeah, hold your horses, just gotta find the ke- oh here they are!" Kuroo unlocks the door letting everyone in so they can change. "Took you long enough." Kenma huffs under his breath, receiving a playful glare afterwards.

"Hey guys, look!" Inuoka points to a bag sitting in a corner on a shelf.

"Coach must've let the new guy in to change?" Yamamoto exclaims more of a question than anything. "I mean that's possible since he's the only other one with a key." Yaku shrugs.

"That bag..." Kenma thinks

The team finishes their business before collectively heading to the gym. Once they get close enough they're able to hear one of the coaches talking to someone.

"Heyo coach! Sorry we-..." team walks into the gym to find everything already set up and ready to go. "Uhhh what?" A few players question.

"Well don't just stand there! Get your heads outta the sky and move your butts!!" Nekomata shouts at them to get moving.

The team was now standing around the head coach, they were just about to ask him something when coach Naoi's voice was heard from the storage room.

"And that's everything. If you need help next time, just wait for the rest of the team alright?" A figure walks slightly behind him nodding to his question. And that's when the team saw her.

"A MANAGER?!" Yamamoto yells catching the two off guard. In which the girl gave a slight glare towards the poor ace.

"Oh you're finally here!" Naoi steps to the side so everyone could see the girl, "I'd like you all to meet Y/N, she'll be playing with you guys from now on."

Y/N slightly bows to say hello as she steps closer. The coach then has everyone introduce themselves before telling them to run a few laps around the gym before stretching. Y/N makes her way to the gym doors when Kuroo stops her, "hey where ya going?!"

"He said," she turns to face the team, "to run around the gym.."

"Yea the court, not outside!" Kuroo replies as he points a thumb in the direction of the net.

"He said gym" she turns back around, "not court" and with that she began jogging.

Yaku, Shohei, kei, and Yuki shrug and start their jog out the door behind her. While the rest of the bunch stare at the door speechless.

"Well whatcha all waiting for, get a move on." The coach inclines as he takes a seat on one of the chairs. Few others begin their jog.

"I thought she was interesting but now I just don't like her..." Kenma mutters, gaining a chuckle out of the captain, "you just don't wanna run~" Kuroo teases before also jogging out the door, soon followed by a sighing pudding head.

After the laps around the gym, the team started stretching. "So how come the manager is running and stretching with us~" Kuroo questions the girl next to him. She glances at him with a glare before huffing. "Ignoring me huh?"

"I can't believe we finally got ourselves a manager! We're like Fukurodani!!" Inuoka and Yamamoto chime together.

"Sorry to burst your party boys, but Y/N, isn't a manager." Naoi exclaims

The boys look baffled, Y/N on the other hand looks a bit annoyed.

"To be honest, I'm curious," Yaku questions, "what position do you play?"

"....any?" Y/N replies a bit confused.

"Ok that's enough!" Nekomata takes action, "listen up, she's a player on our team! This week we'll have touch practices to see what she can do. But this week is also to see who's going to golden week, which is next week! So use this week to get to know each other and your abilities. They'll be put to the test with our three practice matches we have scheduled."

"Wait three?! Thought we only had the one with Karasuno?" Kuroo asks

"Indeed we do but Y/N here has also set up two more for us during golden week against powerhouses, so we'll only be bringing the best players." The coach concludes.

"Oh and one more thing, we'll be having a practice match with fukurodani when we get back from golden week, so be prepared to hurt!" Naoi chimes in.

"Enough talking, get those bodies moving! Don't make me have you run extra laps!"
"Yessir!"
