Renjun could still feel the thrive of winning regionals the next day waiting at the classroom for Jeno to arrive before the class started. He was mindlessly sketching on the corners of his book when the sudden feeling of being watched took place in him. He unconsciously lifted his head from the book towards the door of the classroom just to see the empty hallway. Before he had chance to think on it Jeno made his way from the door so Renjun just ignored it.

Jeno happily greeted Renjun as he took his place in the seat next to him. They were both way too enthusiastic for a couple of students who had physics as their first class of the week but that didn't really matter in that moment. The teacher walked in the class before they had chance to put in any actual conversation so they diverted their attention to their teacher. They have been seeing each other all through the weekend thanks to regionals competition anyways, what else could they have to talk, right?

However, after the class when they were walking to Renjun's locker, the closer one to the physics class, they talked like lifelong friends who haven't seen each other for the past month, which couldn't be further away from the truth. It was as if winning regionals has lifted a big barrier that was placed in between them. One sentence was leading to another and the topics were floating through them.

"How did the studio head allow that to happen?! It must have been an actual mess" Jeno expressed his shock as Renjun was telling him about the time they had a paint war in the studio when there was modifications going on.

"Well, he didn't exactly let it. And we did get scolded when we got caught like that. However he also joined us in the end. We had to clean the whole studio on our own after that but it was worth it, I'm sure others would agree with me too. Fourteen people cleaning a studio was almost as fun as the paint war itself"

Renjun closed his locker after getting the necessities for his next class and they started to walk towards Jeno's locker while talking about the time Jeno was so stubborn on dancing even when he had his ankle in a cast.

"You can't attempt to do a pirouette with your ankle in a cast, are you serious? Even if you don't turn on it you still have to prep and land on it!"

"I know how to do pirouettes thank you, it's just at that time I was fully focused on proving myself that I could do it even with an injury that I wasn't exactly working on logic"

"You're lucky you didn't cause any permanent injuries, you know that right?"

"Yeah, I know. Haechan has threatened to break my other ankle if I attempted to do something like that again and that's how my stubbornness came to an end"

After they were both done with their lockers the break was about to come to an end so they walked to the other hall where Jeno got in the class and Renjun continued the way to his own class.

His seat was next to window that gave him a great view of the kids playground at the back of the school. Sometimes when he got bored in the class he would watch the kids running around and envy them. Today, there were two boys in the swings one sitting on it and the other pushing him from behind. The top of the slides was occupied by a group of kids who were sitting and talking about who knows what. The weather wasn't the hottest so all the kids were in their coats, some of them even had scarves on them. The parents of the kids, Renjun guessed, were sitting on the benches checking the kids with a side eye occasionally.

His eyes then caught a little girl at the back of the benches who were sitting there alone, playing with the doll she had in her hands. Renjun's mind took him to the day he went to the park by the studio with Jeno and the others. They had way too many ice cream on their hands, thanks to Haechan and his ideas, so they have decided to give them to the kids. After they have given out the ice creams he and Jeno have stayed with a little girl who was playing with her doll and telling them a story that Renjun couldn't quite remember. Jeno was interacting with the little girl so naturally that Renjun couldn't help but be impressed. And he also might have been affected by the way Jeno's hair was falling on his face when he leaned down or the way his eyes were following the girl's hand gestures and giving her his pure attention with his perfect visuals.
