-Chapter 3 beginning

Tyler woke up the next morning once again hours late for school but, he didnt really care. He was fed up with what was happening at night, he just wanted for all of it to stop. Hoping to get away for a while he messaged his friend, "Hey did you go to school today? Do you want to hang out?" He messaged in desperate need of a quick response. "No I stayed home today. See you when you get here." Sam replied. After simply seeing the first half of the message he dropped his phone on the fluffed blankets, scrambling to get across the room and pack his things. His dog looked at him confused as he practically tumbled down the stairs. He pet his dog good bye, and darted to the door.

He showed up to Sam's house in a matter of minutes, knocking at the door as he propped himself up on his knees to catch his breath. He heard footsteps walking up towards the door, fearing it might be the "creature" from last night he sprung up to his feet, ready to run. Sam soon opened the door catching Tyler on edge, fearing to even walk in the house.

"Dude, what happened to you?" Sam asked. Tyler rushed to grab his phone out of his pocket, "DAMNIT" Tyler exclaimed. "What?" Sam asked concerned. "I forgot my damn phone at my house." Tyler snapped back, Sam seemed confused trying to comfort the seemingly horrified boy. Tyler's breath became sharper and faster as he panicked for his phone, trying to prove he wasn't crazy. His vision seemed to get blurry as his limbs became distorted, he felt like a puppet being controlled by strings, mouthing out his every thought and he blammered nonsense. "Calm down!" Sam yelled as he tried to shake Tyler out of the odd state. Tyler looked around frantically, trying to snap his vision back to normal. No matter how hard Tyler tried to get himself out of this puppet-like feeling, he couldn't seem to grasp the idea of reality. Sam grabbed his hand bringing him into his house, feeling a living human being seemed to help Tyler a bit, but he still seemed shaken up. Tyler stumbled up his porch step into the warm house, leaving the cold outside world.

He seemed paranoid in a way, as if the creature could come up any second. What if it came a killed them both right now? What if it was still stalking him? Was the door locked? He sprung up from his feet to deadbolt the door, Sam just staring at him as if he was psycho. "Is someone following you?" Sam questioned as he noticed that he was locking the door. "I-I'm not sure" Tyler barley mumbled out. You could barley hear any emotion in his voice at all, its like every emotion was running over Tyler at once, yet at the same time none at all. Tyler hated the feeling, he couldn't get himself to properly feel, see right, or think realistically. He didn't know exactly what he was feeling, just that he didn't like it. At this point Sam knew that someone couldn't just make this kind of thing up, he tried to comfort him once again, then began questioning the frightened boy. "Take deep breathes ok? What happened?" Sam asked in a warm and comforting tone. Tyler was still horrified at the possibilities of what could have happened last night, but tried to find the comfort in his friends voice. "Did you text me last night? Were you in my house?" Tyler said practically interrogating Sam. "What? No! Why would I do that?" Sam said confused. "I got a t-" Tyler was caught off by a rather alarming sound coming from Sam's phone. "Is Tyler with you?" Read the text message, Tyler's mom had been worried as to where he had ran off to. Sam showed the screen to Tyler, in a questioning way, asking if he should respond or not. Tyler almost refused to look at the phone, scared it was another picture of him, or his friend. Sam told Tyler it was just his mom asking about him, convincing him to read the message. Tyler shook his head, signaling that he needs to just leave the message there. "Did your mom do something?" Sam asked while finding some music to turn on. "N-no." Tyler muttered. The music seemed to fill Tyler's head, as if it was the only thing tethering him to earth. "I heard something in my phone, it was a girl." Tyler said without any context, his voice trembling. "What do you mean?" Sam asked as he looked confused. Tyler explained the whispering from his phone, and the text message he had received. Sam looked in horror and in disbelief, running to go shut the blinds of the windows. Sam told Tyler he was going to request his mom to bring his phone over, and that he was going to stay the night here, Tyler hesitantly nodded his head, agreeing to let him text her. Tyler bundled up in a near by blanket, he wasn't cold but the warm fuzzy blanket surrounding him seemed to comfort him. Sam texted his mother, and went to go grab them something to eat as they waited for his mom to arrive.
