Tyler and Sam were now watching a movie, anxiously waiting for Tyler's mother to arrive. Sam didn't know what he was supposed to be expecting, but that almost made the tension worse. Tyler's house wasn't far, so they knew his mother would be arriving soon, but they weren't sure if they wanted her to.
After a while, his mother had finally shown up with Tyler's phone in hand. Sam stepped out to grab the phone for Tyler, thanked his mom and went back inside. Sam held the phone out to Tyler expecting him to grab it, but he seemed frozen, almost glue into position. "Tyler we have to look at it." Sam said in a stern voice, "Later?" his friend asked. Sam shook his head convincing Tyler to check it now, and handed him the phone. Tyler held his phone as still as possible while typing in the password, fear filling his eyes making it hard to see. Eventually he calmed down enough to properly type in the password, staring blankly at the screen while he moved his hand down to the messages app. After staring at the open screen for a good 5 minutes, he finally opened up his texts, only to find nothing from the previous night. His eyes stared in confusion as he read through the interaction with the number. The texts from the first event were there, but anything from last night was gone. "No, no, no, th-there was a picture" Tyler said, his voice practically shaking. Sam looked at him, thinking he had lost it. Tyler saw the look in Sam eyes, claiming that he wasn't just seeing things. "We're going to spend the night at my house." Tyler said attempting to mask his fear in bravery. Sam was shaken back, he tried to convince himself that the picture wasn't real, that Tyler must have just saw something, right? As much as he tried to lie to himself, the possibility that Tyler was telling the truth was always there. "Fine" Sam replied after hesitation, getting ready to pack his things for the night. After the boys had gotten everything they'd want from Sam's house, they started walking up the hill towards Tyler's house, making a small detour to grab some snacks. They bought cheese and crackers, fresh coffee to brew and fruit. They arrived at Tyler's house in around 40 minutes, at about 2:30pm. Tyler's mom seem confused as the young boys stepped into his home, looking confused as Sam told her that they would be spending the night at Sam's house. "Oh, hello! I was just about to make a late lunch, would you boys like anything?" Tyler's mom asked in a welcoming tone. The boys nodded as they saw his mother reaching for the ingredients to make a sandwich, then headed up to Tyler's bedroom while his mother prepared lunch. Tyler told Sam that last time he set up in his closet, and that it happened around 10:30pm. Sam not being stupid however, told him being in a confined place like a closet probably wasn't the best idea, and suggested that they make camp in the middle of his room. Tyler agreed and got out his laptop to charge for the night. They opened up some cards, board games, and got the snacks set up for the night so they could stay up, and then let the time pass by. Not long after, Tyler's mom brought up the food, then let the boys be. After what seemed like days of sitting in his room, the clock finally striked 10:00pm, this gave them 30 minutes to prepare everything they wanted. They made sure Tyler's mom was asleep, and secured a lock on his closet to hide in, thinking that could possibly do something against a ghost. 10:30pm came around in what felt like seconds, and of course as planned, Tyler heard a faint whispering coming from his phone. He turned his volume all the way up and held it near both of their ears. He listened closely to try and make out what the ghost said, but this time it was different, the sound wasn't a small girl anymore. He listened closer as he heard a deep rumbled voice, covered in static making its way out of the speaker. "Is this normal to happen?" Sam asked looking concerned. "No, usually its a small girl with some distortion in her voice, I've never heard this before." Tyler quickly replied. They both listened in closely attempting to make out what the voice was saying, and after some analyzing they did. "Get out, get out, get out. Why is he here?" They heard the voice say in an angry tone. Sam looked horrified assuming that the person it was referring to was him. They both looked at each other seeming scared, and confused. All the sudden Tyler heard a familiar small girl whispering, this time however, it wasn't from the phone. His head sprung over looking in the direction of the closet, thinking he heard the voice from there. Did he dare walk over there? Was he hallucinating? What was going on? This isn't supposed to happen. So many thoughts rushing over him. He looked over at Sam to see if he heard the girl from the closet, and based off the looked of horror plastered on his face as Sam stared down the closet, he confirmed it. Knowing it was a stupid idea, Tyler sneaked over to the closet, with fear holding him down every step.
