Anne loves playing with her dog and cat named Spike and Casper. Spike was her dog and Casper was her Cat. They bought their cat Casper when she was just only two years old. While Spike, who is the child's favorite was given by his father on her birthday when she was four years old.

Anne often played Spike and was taken to nowhere. This was the reason why Casper the Cat lost its appetite. Her father and mother also noticed that. The couples were fonder of cats than dogs. Wendy, Anne's mother, tries to coax the cat but every single day it becomes lethargic. Not eating and not drinking. Anne doesn't care about her pet cat because, in her eyes, only her beloved Spike should and deserves to be taken care of.

One day John, Anne's father, talked to Anne about the problem.

"Anne, why don't you give Casper time to take care of him too? "John asked her daughter. The tone of his speech to his child was calm and sounds relaxed.

"Dad, why should I? Is that important? It's just a cat. They also have nine lives as far as I know." Anne replied to her father as he combed Spike's hair.
