Y/n and Pietro made their way towards Ironwood's office. Standing in the elevator of the school the two stood in silence. The monochrome vision appearing again only stronger and disappearing causing the pilot to stagger.

"Are you okay?" Pietro asked as the pilot sighed.

"I'm fine." He said before the elevator let out a ding indicating their stop.

Entering the room Y/n noticed the blue room. The walls had a silver look to them and in the center was a black desk with a chair. Inhabiting the chair was a man, his black hair was slicked back and his outfit resembled that of a general with red, blue, and white. But looking up he noticed a white stripe on his forehead.

"Ah Pietro so good to-" he began before noticing the pilot. "And who is this?"

"Oh, this is-"

"Y/n L/n Pilot-75 of the militia and fighter for the frontier." He cut to the chase this caused the two to be stunned.

"Oh, Uhm." Ironwood let out before clearing his throat. "May I ask what do you pilot?"

"I pilot a titan similar to your paladins I keep hearing about," he explained causing Ironwood to nod. "Look I'm looking for a way to fix my titan after battling on Demeter. He was badly damaged and I want to work off my time here before leaving back to the frontier."

"Demeter?" He Ironwood questioned before Y/n sighed.

Pressing a few buttons on his wrist a map appeared showing Demeter and what it was used for. Ironwood looked in shock at the massive red planet.

"You battled there? We don't have the resources for space travel." He said but Pietro interrupted.

"He's not from here. He said he's from a place called the Frontier. If we're to send him back we might have to use the staff."

"What can a staff do for me?" The pilot asked but Ironwood stopped him.

"It can't do anything," Ironwood said skeptically as he looked towards the Pilot.

The both of them stare at each other intensely. But their looks softened as Y/n nod.

"I understand, whatever this staff can do you want to keep on the down-low cause you can't trust me." He started before smirking under his helmet. "Much like I can't trust you just yet. Trust is earned." He started before Ironwood leaned back in his chair.

"Not given."

"Look I'm trying to get my titan a new body since it's last one is beyond repair. But I would like to work for it."

"Okay, and how do we know you're qualified for working with us?" Raising an eyebrow Ironwood saw the pilot think before concluding a way to prove himself.

"I'll do a simulation on your highest difficulty." He answered making Pietro shocked.

"Hey now."

"Alright." Ironwood agreed as the two locked eyes and visor. "I'll set up a scenario with our training ground."

"Alright." Turning to the side Y/n looked at the old scientist. "I need a weapon."

Snapping out of his shock Pietro looked at the pilot before nodding. "Right, let's go."

Y/n stood in the armory of the training grounds. In front of him were multiple lockers with a different variety of weapons. Looking around he noticed one that caught his eyes. A high-caliber sniper rifle. Its light body reminded the pilot of the DMR. The white sniper shined as a black button near the safety caught his eye. Confused as to why there are two buttons. Pressing the button he noticed the sniper shift as the but of the rifle shrunk and turned into a hilt the trigger shifted and moved to the grip of the weapon. The scope shrunk inside the hilt before the barrel of the gun folded and turned into a blade. The pilot looked at it with shock as he held a katana with a pure white blade. The hilt and grip were black with a silver design of a leviathan head opening its mouth towards the blade.
