Dark blue waves crashed against the cliff face. I stood, unable to move, I was stuck in place. Looking down I saw teeth made of rock pointing out of the water, as sharp as daggers. The water swirrled around them, fighting to find a way back to the open water. I looked out at the open water, it was calm unlike the water here, I wish I could swim out there and stay out there for the rest of my life, free from everything. The sky began to to glow red from the rising sun. I took a step forward where the view down was clearer. I sat down and swing my feet over the edge.

'Would it be easier to slide off or jump?' I thought. I inched closer to the edge and looked down again. A ledge was about halfway down, so if I slide off, I would land on it. What had brought me to this point? I stood back up, 'I could jump, if I wanted,' I thought. I took a deep breath in of the salt water air. Then-
