I arrived back in my room after eating dinner and doing the dishes and opened my laptop to put on some music.  I opened a playlist and Sink In by the Paper Kites began to play.

"I love this song!" I said to Marmalaid who was still snoring away on my bed.  I grabbed my phone off my bedside table and saw I had a few notifications.  The first was from Facebook.  My friend Samantha was in a relationship with her old Ex Ryan again.  I deleted the notification and clicked on the other.  It said I had 2 new messages.  The first was from my cousin telling me how excited she was to see me in three days.  I replyed telling her I was also excited...which I wasn't.  Next I clicked the one from the number Mr. Calihian had given me.

It read: "Hi Ashley, my names Logan.  I am coming to your school after the break, and I'm excited, my uncle has told me it's a great school.  He teaches English at the school.  His names Mr. Calihan, you might know him.  Anyway, I guess now I've made my first friend at school, right?"

My mouth dropped.  This kid was my teachers nephew.  I quickly replyed with: "Yeah, I guess you have." and threw my phone back onto the nightstand before laying back in my bed and writing in a large journal I kept for my numurouse stories.

*****************************

I awoke the next morning to my phone have a sesure.  I quickly answered it.

"Hello?" I questioned.

"Hey, is this Ashley?" The person on the other end asked.

"It is, who's speaking?"

"It's Logan, I was wondering if you wanted to hangout today.  I'm really bored and kinda need someone to show me around town."

"Ok...I'll meet you at Ruby's Cafe at around...11:00?"

"That works for me, see you then!"

"Yeah..." I hung up.  I was about to meet this kid for the first time and I didn't know anything about him.  Should I dress nice?  I finally decided to just be me.  I grabbed a pair of jeans and a crewneck sweater.  I ran down the stairs and jumped into the shower.

**************

I emerged from the bathroon with my hair wavy as it normally is and dressed in my outfit of choice.  I entered the living room and grabbed my shoulder bag, stuffing a book, my phone, my laptop and my wallet inside.

"Mom, I'm going out!" I yelled.

"Ok, make good choices!" She yelled back.

"I will!"

I pulled on my moccasins and my jacket.  I wrapped a scarf around my neck and stuffed my mittens onto my hands.  Pulling my 'russian' hat over my head I walked out the door.

*************************

I opened the door to Ruby's Cafe against the wind.  It was a nice day for December.  I shuffled over to the bar table and smiled at Ruby.

"Hot chocolate please and thanks."  I told Ruby who was ready to take my order.

I looked around the cafe.  It wasn't as busy as normal, only an elderly couple in a booth and a young woman with her two children.  Ruby came back and handed me he warm mug of hot chocolate.

"I'll get you to pay the bill later, you might want something else."  Ruby was a kind woman in her late 40's.  Her cafe was a cute little shop that many people came to after school.  It was a hang-out spot for some kids, but most kids went to Molly's down the road.

Suddenly the bell on the door went off as a young boy walked through the door.  He was quite handsome.  He came at sat a seat away from me.  He looked over and smiled and it hit.  He was Logan Lerman.
