ON HER WAY HOME, winnie heard a car behind her blasting music. as it got closer the music got quieter.

"hey babe, where you off to?" a voice called. she mentally groaned knowing that was the one and only patrick hockstetter.

she rolled her eyes as her pace sped up, but as her pace got quicker, so did the car.

"trying to get rid of us already? what a bad girl you are, angeles." patrick teased. she cringed at his words.

"go away." she muttered. they all started to laugh and catcall her.

she wanted to cry. she wanted to cry so, so badly, but she couldn't. not in front of them.

"do y'all need something?" she spat, stopping next to the car. henry hopped out of the car, now standing in front of her.

he smirked as he looked down at her before leaning down to whisper in her ear, "i just wanted to let you know that you don't belong in my town you dirty, little, bitch."

a tear fell down her eye. a sad, angry tear.

henrys three goons sat in the car and noticed as tears formed in her eyes. patrick laughed loudly as he watched tears fall from the girls eyes, causing the other boys to laugh.

"look henry, she fucking crying!" belch laughed. henry looked up a bit, seeing the teary eyed girl.

henry smirked knowing he had her wrapped around his finger. he stood up and looked down at her, grabbing her jaw aggressively to make her look at him.

"oh poor baby, what's the matter, crybaby?" he taunted. she was furious. "how about you leave me alone before your dad finds out what you really are." she muttered, but henry heard every last one.

he tilted his head. "what are you trying to say?" "i'm trying to say you're a fucking faggot for picking and bullying on little girls." she spat at him, pushing him away from her.

the boys were stunned and to be honest, winnie was too at the state of her sudden boldness.

henry had stumbled back a little bit, smirking at the girl before jumping back into his car.

"alright princess, we'll catch you later." victor winked. she rolled her eyes at the comment. victor was the one who didnt do anything, she was hurt.

when she got home, she had seen her parents in the livingroom watching tv and she heard her sister upstairs talking to her friend.

winnie had went upstairs and shut the door behind her, making sure to lock it. the girl threw her bookbag before sliding down her door, bawling her eyes out.

her sobs were silent, not wanting her family to worry. a million thoughts clouded her mind. she knew they shouldn't, but henrys words stuck.

after calming down, she grabbed the flannel that sat on her bed. the very flannel that bill had given her when she had vented to him about her brother. she smiled at it just before hanging it up on her door.

it was obvious that winifred had a crush on bill - well, to her sister and richie it was. they would always tease her for it, too.

winifred had decided to let go of all her thoughts and go to sleep.

WINIFRED HAD WOKEN UP to a knock on her door, groaning as she sat up. she put on her slippers, hearing another knock on my door.

"wait a minute!" she yelled. she had stood up and sluggishly walked to the door.

when she opened the door, her eyes widened. it was bill.

"holy sh- how did you get in here?" she asked as her cheeks heated up, putting a hand on her hip. "y-y-your mom let m-me in." he smiled. "n-n-now get r-r-re-ready. b-b-barrens." he pointed to his wrist. "alright. just- just wait on the couch," she pleaded. he nodded and walked away.

the girl rummaged through her closet, trying to find something. eventually, she had found a striped rainbow tank top, some denim shorts, and her black converse.

as she was tying her shoes, a knock had came from the other side of the door. "hurry up, little sister! your boyfriend is waiting!" aliyah had teased.

winnie rolled her eyes, "shut up, im coming!"

she looked in the mirror, touching her natural, curly hair. but she snapped out of her thoughts immediately.

she walked out the door and flicked her sister off as she walked down the stairs to see him patiently waiting by the door talking to cameron.

"come on, stutters." she teased, walking out of the door, and him following behind her. "bye cam, i love you." she waved, her sister doing the same and closing the door.

"im gl-glad you wore y-y-your hair like th-that, you look r-r-really pretty." he smiled. her heart melted at his words. "thank you billy." she smiled back

"take everything but the delicious deals, guys. my mom loves them." eddie informed. "okay eddie spaghetti, dont worry." winnie chuckled. he playfully rolled his eyes at the nickname.

"hey! first, you say the barrens, and now youre saying the sewer. i mean, what if we get caught?" eddie ranted. the girl threw her head back as she groaned.

"we won, eds. the sewers are p-pu-public works. we're the public arent we?" bill reasoned. winnie nodded in agreement.

"hey, eddie, these your birth control pills?" richie asked jokingly. "yeah, and im saving it for your sister. this is private stuff." eddie fired back. winnie snickered at the slick comment. winnie always knew that there was something deeper than a friendship between those two boys, she just couldn't tell what it was.

when they finished packing and were about to leave, eddies mom stopped them.

"eddie bear, where you boys and girl off to in such a rush?" she asked calmly. they all panicked. they knew they couldn't tell her they were going to the barrens.

"um... j-j-just my backyard, mrs. k. i got a new..." bill stammered. "croquet set! jeez, spit it out b-b-bill!" richie covered.

"oh, and sweetie, dont go rolling around on the grass. especially if its just been cut. you know how bad your allergies can get." she said. her voice was so calm and soothing, it was creepy. eddie agreed.

"aren't you forgetting something?" she asked. winnies furrowed my eyebrows together in confusion.

eddie sighed in embarrassment before walking over to his mom and kissing her cheek.

"do you want one from me too mrs. k?" richie teased, and with that, they were rushed out of the house and on their way to the barrens.
