3rd POV

"So, where are we, exactly?" Leo asked.

"Well, I think the question is 'when?'" Sara corrected.

"January 16th, 1969." John told the two. "She sent us back in time."

"Wait, is that Nora's doctor?" Sara asked.

"Apparently her taste in jewelry never changed. But yeah, this is all a bit weird. Can we get your, uh, team to come pick us up?" John asked.

"We can't communicate across time without special equipment." Sara explained.

"You mean, we're stuck here?" Leo asked.

John places a cigarette in his mouth gaining weird looks from Sara and Leo. "Well, we wouldn't want to stand out, now would we? Bollocks." He says when the match snaps. "Look, they still have the same paintings on the walls."

"That's how we send a message." Sara says.

"The picture of the blessed virgin that fell off the wall when Nora was possessed would still be hanging now in 1969." John notes.

"If we write the message on the back of the painting, then the legends will find it in 2017." Sara finished.

"Sure, as long as no one redecorates for the next 50 years. Fingers crossed." Leo says pointing out the flaw in their plan.

The group begins on their journey to the room they summoned Mallus in back in 2017.

They were walking down a hallway when Sara heard someone saying her name.

"Are you alright, luv?" John asked her.

"I'm fine, come on. We're almost to room 237."

The lights began to flicker and Sara began to hallucinate the wall reaching for her.

She snapped out of it and John rushed to her side.
"Captain Lance! What is it?" Leo asked.

"There's nothing there." John reassured her.

"It's Mallus." Sara said.

"Well, I told you there'd be repercussions for going to the dark side. It leaves a trace. Now that he's sniffed you out, he'll wanna use you, too. You can't let him break you."

"We gotta get out of here." Sara stated.

"Guard." Leo warned causing the three of them to run away.

"The painting." John reminded.

"I'll put the message behind it." Leo and John came to an agreement before Leo ran off to put the message in the painting and John tried to calm Sara down.

John told Sara about Astra and how he damned his soul to hell. It didn't take much longer to calm her down as soon enough, they were heading to find Leo.

When they eventually found him, Leo was strapped down on a table and Nora's nurse was about to stab him with a needle. They knock her out and Leo tells them that the nurses found the note.
"We need to find another way out of here." He says.

"Okay, the symbol that Nora drew was a time travel spell, right? So why don't we just cast the same spell and get out of here?" Sara asked John.

"She was channeling the power of Mallus when she cast that spell. Not even I have that kind of juice." John told her, keeping out the part about how his boyfriend could if they could find a way to reach him.

"I do. You said that Mallus can use me the way that he does Nora. So you summon Mallus into me, I draw the rune, same as her, and we get to go home."

After some debate, John finally agreed and they made the journey back to room 237.
