While Chris, me, and BRIAN we're on our way to Matthew's to see if the corruption is a short circuit in my electrical system. I began to worry about Henry. Is he being interrogated? Locked behind bars? I had too many questions and concerns than I had answers. BRIAN grabbed my hand which made me lose my train of thought as he asked.
"You're thinking about Henry, aren't you?"
I hummed while doing a single nod. At which he responded with.
"I know... I worry about him too. He may not be my creator, but he, the other members of Tech 4 The People, and their AI's are like my family."
Chris hummed while doing a single nod in agreement then said.
"Agreed, Henry and Matt are like brothers' to me, while Kayla and Christina are my sisters'. I worry about him too. After all, I still can't believe that he of all the other T.4.T.P members got arrested. I remember you showed me the slip of paper he gave you had my address written on it. Since he knew I was the hardest to find and track due to my equipment having 15 firewalls, each on harder to break than the last."
As we approached the back door of Matt's Apartment complex. Chris made a series of knocks on the door like it was in a secret code. Matthew who was on the other side of the door unlocked it, let them in while saying hastily.
"Quickly come inside before someone sees you."
Once we were inside he stuck his head out the window to check to see if the coast was clear, at which it was. Then he pulled his head back in, closed the door, and locked it behind him. Matt then whispered in a sort of hasty tone.
"This way, my apartment is on the 3rd floor."
Right as we turned the corner Matt stopped dead in his tracks to see his landlord arm leaning against the wall with a stern look on his face as he said sternly.
"Matthew, didn't I tell you that the back door is only for delivery men, or an emergency escape in case of fire or something? Friends of the residents have to go through the front door."
Matt turned around halfway up the first flight of stair (before you reach the landing where the staircase turns) and says while holding his hand up in a form of resignation.
"I know, and I'm sorry Carl... its just I didn't want them to be seen. Let's just say its for their safety, since the streets are full of muggers and thieves."
Carl crosses his arms across his chest and chuckles.
"Ok, I'll let it slide for now... but if I see you do it one more time I won't be so forgiving. Also don't forget your rent payment is coming up fast and you have to pay me double since you forgot to pay last month's rent."
"Right, I promise I will follow through on paying you the rent money." Matt replied.
As we made the way up the stairs and Carl walks back to his office. Matt says while climbing up the stairs without turning to us.
"Carl may seem stern and intimidating on the outside, but he's a real nice, and humorous guy. Once you get to know him."
When we reached Matt's apartment door, he unlocked it using his set of keys. Then when he entered he cried out in a indoor voice.
"Talons, we've got company!"
TALONS (Matt's AI) popped his head in the hallway's doorway before coming out and said.
"Hey Chris, BRIAN, IRLAI... its good to see you."
I say while blushing and looking slightly away.
"Hey TALONS... its nice to see you again. How long has it been since I last saw you?"
