Prologue

Two boys sat on a singular bed playing chess. One small fragile looking child, a lil darker blonde hair and blue ocean eyes which didn't spark as they used too, sat there thinking about his next move while playing against a little bit taller child with dark brown hair, two deer horns and a small bee flying around him who seemed to be waiting patiently for his friend to make a move.

The blonde deep in thought, finally made a move, he looked up at the brunette and stared at him as the other thought.
Unfortunately that Thought didn't last long until it got interrupted by 3 loud strong knocks at the door. The person let themselves in and there stood a tall woman, with an annoyed face and a tight bun on her head.

Both looked at her in absolute confusion. Until she finally spoke up "boys. Get ready. There are people coming over to meet you two." Almost giving a glare.

Tubbo's pov

Whoa-
We are getting adopted?! I got real excited after hearing this, Mrs Erne gave us 30 minutes to pack up and get downstairs. After she left I looked over to Tommy who didn't quite look so excited. And I guess I understood why, to be quite honest Tommy was here way longer than I have. I came along roughly a year ago to this orphanage, even though it's only been a year me and Tommy are like Brothers we spent time together alot. Really couldn't imagine a life without him by my side.

I was looking at Tommy and Tommy didn't budge, he wasn't even making eye contact, he really must not like this "Tommy, are you okay?" Tommy just nodded, still not taking his gaze away from the floor. Even though me and Tommy acted like brothers he never really spoke about himself. He never really talked about his past nor did he ever mention about the families he's been in, I am still curious but I know better than to push something that makes him uncomfortable.

I put my hand on Tommy's shoulder and looked at him with a slight smile "it'll be okay Tommy, I'm sure these people will be great. If Mrs. Erne told us both to get ready it surely means we are both getting adopted by the same person right? And if that's the case then I'll be with you all the way" I grinned as Tommy finally looked at me and responded with a small smile "okay Tubbo" we both got off the bed and took our bags to start packing up. We didn't really have alot of possessions, just some clothing and a stuffed animal or two.

We finished packing up and grabbed Tommy's hand and started walking towards the door until I got pulled back a little, Confused I turned around to look at Tommy who seemed hesitant "is everything okay?" I asked, he looked to the side and took a shaky breath before saying anything "Tubbo.. promise me you'll be with me forever." My heart sank when he said that "Tommy- " I got cut off as Tommy hugged me tightly, I hugged back and patted his head "I promise" I responded.

After our hug, which seemed like hours we exchange something with each other, I gave Tommy a green bandana and tied it around his neck, while Tommy gave me a red bandana and tied it around my wrist. It was a way of saying "don't forget about me" if we ever had to go out separate ways. Not that we counted for that to happen but it was just incase, and also a memory of each other.

We both nodded at each other and held our hands as we walked downstairs to meet our new family, What happened after torn us both down.
