• Chapter 2 •

Wilbur pov

Waking up to my alarm, I tiredly sat up and rubbed my eyes, it was about 8am and I sat in my bed staring at my guitar for a bit before getting up and rolling the blinds up. Looking out the window seeing the tree branches and leaves slowly sway in the wind and the warm sun shining in I knew this would be a nice and maybe even a good day, the memories from last night slowly came back to my mind remembering that we have a new family member now. With a smile I walk out my room and go to the bathroom to wash my face and get dressed.

After finishing my daily routine I decided to check up on Tommy, walking up to his door I knock a few times but had no response. Is he still asleep? I knock again but there's still silence, I put my hand on the handle and lightly try and push the door open but to my surprise it didn't budge "huh? its locked?" I stood there silently for a moment until I heard Techno walk out his room looking all dressed up and ready like he was already up and awake earlier "Mornin' Wil what are you doing?" Techno asked giving me a confused look, looking back at him I sigh "Morning Tech, I woke up not long ago and was just gonna check up on Tommy but to my surprise the door was locked" putting both my hands on my face cheeks having a slight pouty face I heard Techno sigh quietly "Give him some time, he'll wake up soon enough, how about we go downstairs and make breakfast for everyone before Dad and Tommy wake up?" I nodded and left Tommy's door alone while quietly making my way downstairs to the kitchen with Techno.

It is quite fun cooking with Techno we both somehow manage to mess around while also somehow not wake dad up, its nice seeing dad smile every morning knowing he doesn't have to overwork himself with little things like this, me and Techno enjoy doing things together and we don't mind it, i'd also like to take up the challenge of being a big brother and taking care of Tommy. "So what are we gonna make?" I glance over to Techno who has his eyes on the eggs "i'll give you a choice from pancakes to scrambled eggs" I sat there thinking for a little bit "how about we spin the fork and see where it lands?" Techno immediately took out a fork and placed it on the table, placing one egg to one side symbolizing pancakes and then two eggs on the other side symbolizing scrambled eggs. We both look at each other with a serious face and nod "3...2...1-" we both chant as we quickly spin the fork keeping focus on where it lands.

It landed on two eggs, me and techno both in sync lift our hands up and shout "heck yeah!" and then looked at each other and laughed a little bit at our action, we get to cooking taking the eggs off the table and cracking them into a bowl mixing the eggs with the fork we added some milk to the eggs to make them fluffy while Techno was cutting up the onion and some sausages. He threw it into a pan while im still mixing adding the salt and pepper to the eggs, I pass the bowl to Techno and go to set the table for breakfast putting some bread into the toaster in the meantime. Me and Techno talked and made some jokes at the same time and it was all pretty chaotic, after finishing everything as expected dad walks into the kitchen yawning "Morning dad!" I smile at him passing him his morning coffee "Oh, good morning Wil, morning Techno how are you guys?" Dad said walking up to the table where the food was already laid out " we are good, having fun like usual. Right Techno?" i look at Techno giggling, he just responds with a nod and a small chuckle "that's good that's good" dad said smiling.

I noticed he was about to pick up his fork until he stopped and looked around the kitchen "where's Tommy? is he still asleep?" dad asked in a confused manner, me and Techno glance a each other for a moment Techno just shrugged before turning back to dad "uhm, well we think he's still asleep? I went to check on him earlier but there was silence and his door was locked, so we thought he still might be asleep and just didn't want anyone to bother him, and so we went downstairs to make breakfast" I said scratching the back of my neck lightly "I see" dad responded "how about you check on him now?" I nodded and rushed upstairs to stand in front of Tommy's bedroom door again, I knock again "Hello? Tommy?" there was silence again, I decided to put my ear against the door and listen if there's any movement. Maybe he just shy? staying silent myself to hear noise, I can hear breathing from right behind the door, did he fall asleep on the floor? looking around the hallway i walk up to the mini cupboard in the corner at the end of the hallway next to a window. Walking over to it I open the drawer and take out some spare keys to the rooms that is used for emergencies, closing the drawer I walk back to Tommy's door and look for the right key to use to unlock the door.
