The next few weeks flew by. I was packing for what seemed like millions of boxes a day. I had so much stuff to go through and sort. Jennifer would help me pack all the time. We would go through all of our grade school pictures and memories and laugh a whole lot. It is so sad to think about how I will have to make a new best friend soon.
I leave in two days. Two days until my whole life turns around. Two days until I no longer have a life in Kansas. Just two days.
I'm excited to live on a beach. I can't imagine all the fun things there are to do in San Diego. Swimming, surfing, shopping, oh, how I love shopping. In just a few days I can get away from Kansas' bipolar weather and enjoy the perfect weather of California.
The last few weeks of school weren't all that bad. I passed all my classes, so I guess that's an acomplishment for me. On the last day of school, Jennifer through a party dedicated to me. It was at her beautiful house and it was a kind of going away party for my class. It was a pretty fun party and we even got to TP my favorite teachers house, Mr. Richards.
It has been a bit weird the last few weeks with my parents under the same roof. It's like they don't know each other anymore. They hardly talk to each other and they have been trying to bond with me a lot recently. I tried to hang out with my dad for a lot of the time since I won't be seeing him for a while.

I invited Jennifer over for later tonight so we can have one last sleepover before I leave. We plan to do a lot of fun things together tonight so we can have the best last memory before the next time I see her.
I woke up at 8:00 A.M. this morning. I ate a big breakfast that my dad had made for me, I'm definitely going to miss his delicious breakfasts. He seemed sad that morning, probably because of the upcoming move.
"You know I'm going to miss you a lot, dad"
"I know honey, I will miss you too."
"How ofter will I get to come see you?"
"Abigal, you can come anytime and visit, you're always welcome here."
He hardly ever called me by my full name when he was talking to me, but it felt kind of nice for him to say it.
"Thanks dad, I know I can count on you."
Soon after breakfast I went for a run like I usually do in the mornings. When I got back I finished my last part of packing. I packed a few small things that were still left in my empty pastel purple room. The rest of my stuff is already on its way to California.
Jennifer came over at around 4:30. We plan to make dinner together later tonight, but first we are going to see a movie together. When we got to the movie theatre we got up to the counter and asked for tickets for any movie that starts at 5:00. It was a Friday night so there were more than enough movies playing for that time. They gave us the tickets and we only looked at the theatre number before we blindly walked in.
We ended up hating the movie that we payed for but we talked the whole time, so it didn't matter. It was fun getting yelled at so many times during the movie because we were so loud and we weren't paying any attention to the move playing.
Later, after we arrived at home we started to cook a legendary dinner. We bought a ton of food the day before so we could have a lot of things to make. We started with spaghetii and meatballs. We made homemade meatballs and homemade spaghetii sauce from recipes we found in an old cookbook.
"You know these meatballs don't look right are you sure we're making them right?"
"Jennifer, we followed the recipe word for word. I think they will be alright."
