I love you. That sentence is used a lot. Between mothers and daughters. Father and son, and so on. Everyone says that with love, life can be great. But not for some people. Her father said he loved her family, but then he left them. His mother said she loved him, but then she put him in foster care at the age of 4. Her foster mom and dad said they loved her, but then why did they beat her when no one was looking? Why is it that she has a wonderful adoptive family, but never can quench the ache she feels for more love? Perhaps for her, it's because she never met her true parents. This world is full of CRUEL CRUEL people. But there are of course the knights in shining armor. The ones who prove to you they love you. We all reach out for love, though some don't grab it. Why is it that those in love are the ones that become the most miserable? Love is really all you need? what about happiness? or health? or a reason to wake up in the morning? but no, no. Everyone needs to find the cutest couple. the two in love. So they can attach themselves to the lovers, and devour them. Why is it that we can't wake up and see love is a trap? a never ending Labyrinth full of twists and turns with pain and sorrow embedded in between. Only a few make it out. The rest... they get stuck until they need to build themselves a wall, to separate themselves from others, even loved ones, because they get used to the maze and it's never ending walls. Others push themselves down, giving up when they haven't even started looking for love, or waiting patiently. But waiting can turn quickly to sorrow, for the people feel lost, hopeless, upset, and even in some cases, depressed. Why is it that love is all we need. Do we not get enough of it at home? Do we not get enough of it from friends? Or is it that a specific boy or girl liking you will make you feel wanted, special...
Or perhaps, it's more than that. I believe that the reason we hope and wish and try for love, is that love is the closest thing we have to magic
