"I now pronounce you joined in marriage."

The voices of the people in the crowd, began to raise. Smiles appeared on everyone's face ; and even the imperturbable Mycroft Holmes couldn't contain his happiness.

The newlyweds stood at a reasonable distance from each other, their fingers intertwined as if they were mutually saying they will never split up.

Mrs Hudson, arm linked with the detective inspector Lestrade, wept in silence, her nose buried in a handkerchief. Her misty eyes showed all the sympathy and affection she felt for the newlyweds. As for the Scotland Yard officer, he couldn't stop himself from smiling looking at Sherlock Holmes' beaming with joy face.

Everyone was gathered, everyone was united, and exeryone was as moved as happy.

In particular, Mrs Hudson. She who saw them grow, who witnessed their relationship evolve, and who believed in them since the beginning.

Mycroft, leaning against his famous black umbrella, was every now and then throwing sideways glances and indiscreet winks to his little brother. His parents surronding him were the proudest they could possibly be of their youngest. They had, long ago, already lost every hope to see their eldest with a special someone, so they had wished for Sherlock to provide them descendants. Well, forget the grandchildren, he seemed joyful and that was all that mattered.

"You may kiss the groom".

The lovers turned to face each other, their hands still intertwined.

While looking at the powerful eyes of the man he was now calling his boyfriend, John couldn't refrain a blissful smile from coming out on his face. He was almost laughing. He felt so happy.

He bent his head towards the floor and stared at his shoes in order to regain even a tiny bit of his composure.

Seeing the unlimited happiness of the one who made is heart beat since the first day, Sherlock smiled too.  He clung to John's hand a bit more and took a step towards him.

He gently placed his other hand on the joint between his husband's jaw and neck and lifted softly his head. In the detective's eyes could be read all the love he felt for this man.

At his touch, John came a little closer to him. They were only a few inches away from each other.

Eventually, there faces got closer too. The doctor's hand came to rest on the detective's chest. Grabbing him by one side of his suit, he drew the man to him.

The gap between their mouths was getting smaller and smaller. Their lips, stretched into thin smiles, were soon going to collide, their tongues to find eatch other, and their bodies to meet.

The audience held its breath. Everybody knew what was going to happen, but they didn't want to miss any of it.

Sherlock and John were getting closer and closer, and then...

And then...

At the exact moment when their faces should have met and celebrated their eternal union, Molly Hooper woke up with a start. Eyelids glued together with tears, her breathing punctuated by sobs, her body burning with shame and jealousy, the legist tried to reassure herself ; it was all a dream, Sherlock was still single, and she still had a chance -even tiny- to seduce him.

Unfortunately, the genious of deduction still seemed sad when he thought John Watson couldn't see him.

But that was just a triviality, right ?

In the end, Molly told herself she had nothing to worry about ; luck could be on her side one day.

She felt back asleep peacefully.

After all, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson were nothing more than good friends.
