Chapter Four
(Sky's POV)
AJ was quietly rummaging through her hair, while I watched with amusement as Annie attempted to climb a willow tree next to us. Her facial expression constantly changed from excitement to confusion, as she struggled from branch to branch.
"I'm not getting any younger down here." Alondra sang like the evil mother in Rapunzel. Annie pulled herself onto one of the thick branches that provided showers of willows flowing down among us.
"And may you stay that way." Annie said in a sweet but sarcastic voice.
I laughed at their bickering.
The evening sun was shining in my eyes, as it began to lower itself from the sky.
We've been hanging at The Riff for the past six hours, doing God knows what. At first we were discussing our lives within those years we'd been separated. Each of us took turns at sharing adventures, and laughter among the group, with the occasional sorrowful memories.
I've come to find out that Alondra has been taking on psychology for the past three years and had been very busy with work, but finally agreed on taking a huge break this year.
Alanna's music career has been very disappointing at the start, she had no support. But now, she's actually well known in America. I was surprised that I haven't seen or heard anything from her yet.
Annie's been Annie, being a famous actress and meeting Paris Jackson isn't something everyone gets to do.
And well, here I am. Just seeing where the road will take me and flowing with the wind. Makes me wonder on just what I should do with my life
"The weather's so nice today." Alondra hummed, breathing the soft wind flowing from the east.
"Yeah, Michael would have loved this." AJ agreed. A faint smile on her lips while her striking blue eyes stared up at where our King was now resting.
I laid down on the grass and looked up at the still bright sky. It was slowly turning into a soft violet colour. I heard a thump from beside me, and I turned my head to see Annie standing there in a crouched position.
I grinned and gave her a thumbs up, impressed at how high she's jumped from the branch.
She smiled, but then she gasped suddenly and pointed at my face, her mouth hanging slightly open
"What?" I asked clueless. My head slightly raised from the ground.
"Your eyes!" she exclaimed, approaching my face speedily.
"They're just so beautiful. It's like the same colour of the sky right now." She stated.
AJ was suddenly beside me and Alondra followed after, both staring at me. Or maybe my eyes. I was now sitting up, and fully aware of the attention.
"Wow, never notice your eyes were that violet before." Alondra said.
"I know right, they're basically purple." AJ murmured.
I turned to Annie for help, but she wasn't looking at me anymore.
"Annie, help me!" I called, I was slightly embarrassed from the compliments. Even from these girls, I felt self-conscious. I was always an over thinker, and my insecurities are my weakest flaw.
Lucky for me, AJ and Alondra weren't even looking at me now, their attention was on Annie. Who is walking slowly away from us, and towards the cliffs?
"Annie what are you up to now." Alondra called. AJ was scratching her head in confusion. I was thankful for the divided attention though.
I awkwardly coughed and also turned my attention to my confusing best friend. "Annie, what the heck are you doing?" I asked.
