Spending Time with the Blade Pog?

I walked down the path to the town. Phil asked me to show the brats around while Wil was visiting Sally by the lake.

"Are we there yet?" erupted from behind every few steps.

"You will know when we get there." I told them gruffly.

"But why does it have to be so long?" Whined the annoying one.

"If you wouldn't mind, Tommy would like to go faster, please." The tamer one squeaked.

"Yes, I do mind." I replied simply.

"O-oh, my apologies, then." The kid stammered.

I only grunted in response. The wild child was probably gonna go more feral if he had to walk more than 30 minutes just to get to town. I wouldn't mind speeding things up, as I don't want a headache so early in the morning.

"C'mon. There's a short cut over here." I said.

We walked down the small, unused, and cramped passage through the wood near the main road. The tree's were more tightly packed than the thicket by our house, but it was fine. At least it made for better coverage in case a thief was waiting to ambush some unsuspecting fool. That fool would not be me. Or the brats, I guess.

The complaining had calmed down significantly and Tommy had actually been taking frequent stops to admire the greenery surrounding us.

"Like nature, huh?" I finally point out.

"W-What! No! No way! I just... Uh... Need to take a lot of breaks because I am very tired. Yes, that." Tommy's face turns beet red.

I chuckled. "If you say so Tommy."

It wasn't long until we found the small, quaint town. It was bustling with people, as per usual. I took both the brats hands in mine (gently this time) and held them close, as not to lose them. People kept on bumping into us and glaring at us, but that was normal for anyone in a large market place like this. Tommy was fidgeting, kept on looking around and chewing on his lip.

I brought Tommy in front of me. "Hey, don't do that. You're gonna make your lip bleed."

Tommy jumped a little, parting his mouth like he was going to retort with a snarky comment, but ultimately decided against it as he sighed and mumbled an "Ok"

I started leading them around again. We didn't need anything, so I was just showing them around town a bit. Nothing too complicated for now. They don't need to learn the ins-and-outs of alleys or the best viewpoints in town. I'll save that for another day. It was a bit silent for the most part. Only the crowd's insistent yelling. I felt Tubbo's hand tug; trying to resist my grip. I glance over to see Tubbo staring at me with pleading eyes.

"What?"

"Bee."

"Heh?"

I got the kid a darn bee plush.

He was so lucky I had money on me. It definitely wasn't me getting a soft spot. It wasn't.

But the kid looked happy and was cradling the thing like you would a baby. Therefore I was left unbothered. A few moments later the same tugging came from the other side of me.

I groaned. "What is it, Tommy."

"Music discs." He replied.

"Heh?" I was utterly confused. Out of everything this brat would like, it was music? They weren't expensive, but they weren't cheap either. They were kind of rare, which was the reason they were a bit pricey. Only a few gold ingots. It wasn't like diamonds- or the gods forbid- netherite. I walked towards where the music was being played. It was being played for a flash mob. I suppose I could buy it off of him for a block of gold, max.

It cost two diamonds. This kid was darn-hecking lucky he wasn't that bad of a kid. I wouldn't have even considered going anywhere near that swindler and his jukebox. Like two diamonds? Who would pay for that? That's insane pricing! I know I payed for it and all, but I'm a different case because it was for Tommy. But-

"Techno?"

I stiffened.

"I'm sorry for making you spend that much on Mellohi..."

My heart melted.

"It-...It's fine, kid. I have plenty more at home. I'm a millionaire, you know?" I joked.

Tommy smiled, "Of course."

We stopped in front of our house and we all gathered inside. I worked my way up to my room to relax. Today had been a long day, and I was ready to take a nap.

"They're good kids" was the last thought that popped into my head before the light faded out and I was sent into a dream.
