VISITING IS HIS SISTER WAS A HUGE MISTAKE— at least that's what Theo told himself as he pushed the tears that rolled down his cheeks with the back of his hand. Stupid, stupid. How could have have been so stupid? It had been a year, a year since all the bullshit happened. And he thought, he actually thought, that he had managed to put all that grief behind him. Guess he was wrong.

It's not like he could go to his new ghost pal and unload all of his emotions. For one thing, Theo didn't know where Alex was. And it can also be noted that Theo is a messy crier. Something that he absolutely did not  want Alex to know about. The last thing he needed was for his only other dead friend (and quite frankly the dude he had a MAJOR crush on) to see him in a crying mess.

Perhaps visiting Cherry wasn't the best idea. Nothing shattered his heart more than seeing his sister reduced to tears as she painted a mural of him in her art studio. And yet, the thoughts continued to cloud his mind as he walked in the busy streets of Los Angeles, what were the rest of his friends doing?

Twisted Overture hadn't been the same since Theo left and that's a fact. Ever since their lead singer died, the band was done and over with. Theo couldn't blame them when he saw that on the headliner. In fact, as much as it broke his heart, he knew that they wouldn't continue without him. Prior to his death, they all agreed that if someone wanted to leave the band, they all would. Twisted Overture wasn't a band that could be replaced with new people. It was original as it was authentic. Nothing could change that.

It didn't change the fact that Twisted Overture was still popular. Perhaps when Theo died, it got twice as much as the attention as it already did. His best friends were practically celebrities and Theo was a dead man walking trying to forget everything that happened in his mortal life. But that one singular moment he shared with his sister managed to shatter it all. And now, here he was, pensive in his thoughts, thinking back to the friends that he called his home.

The only thing that had prevented him from seeing the band again was himself. Death had been a blessing in disguise to allow Theo to relieve his years in absolute freedom. Sure, the occasional headliner or accidentally seeing an interview of one of his bandmates on the big screen tv's threw him off, but he always managed to get up on his feet and look the other way. Not anymore at least.

Screw it, he should have asked to meet Alex's friends when he had the chance. Now, he was finding himself drawing nearer to the only place that he hadn't bothered to look at since the day—well, since the day he actually watched his carcass fall deep down into some big hole in the earth right in front of a tombstone. Oh, no. Please no.
