Sorry Chapter 2 took a long ass time.

Athena and Amara loved each other dearly. They weren't as competitive as their older brothers.

Athena was a little older then Amara so Athena would always act like she's way older than she is, for Amara.

Amara had a soft heart and she loved the idea of fighting beside her twin sister's side. But Athena would always say that she would protect Amara so she doesn't have to fight.

"Oof!" Athena falls down face down on the ground.
"Thena!" Amara runs twords Athena who shakingly stood up and dusted herself down
"I'm fine! Look I'm not hurt!" Athena said with a thumbs up as blood ran down her face from her fourhead.

"AHHH!" Amara shouted in panic as Athena just smiled, oblivious to what was happening.

"Thena your bleeding!" Athena tilted her head in confusion. Athena touched her fourhead and felt something wet. Athena looked to her fingers and saw that she was bleeding.

"Oh. . . Hahahaha! Don't worry about it I'm-"
Athena was cut off by Amara suddenly putting her small little hands on Athens blood civered fourhead.

"Don't move. I'm going to heal it" Amara said as she focused her mana twords her twins injury.

A purple like aura formed around Amara's hands and her blue jewaled eyes glowed.

A few seconds later Athena recoiled back and wiped away some of the blood from Athena's head.

Amara smiles
"Your all heald now!" Amara said with pride.

Athena touched her fourhead and felt no pain. Athena then looked down to Amara's hands and frowns. Blood.

"Huh? Thena, what's wrong?" Amara asked while frowning as she saw her sister was not smiling.
"I'm sorry I got your hands dirty. . ." Athena said as she bowed her head down on the grass.

Amara just giggled
"Don't be sorry silly, I'd do anything for you! Even if I have to get my hands dirty!" Amara said with a 'hummf' as she did a pose

Athena laughed.
"Then I will do the same!!" Athena and Amara were shouting and running around.
Of course the maids had to separate them for a little while.

A few days later the two had a choice of what kind of field they wanted to take.
Athena chose sword fighting, along with close combat.

Amara chose long distance fighting with magic.

Athena had a problem.
It was her eyes. It wasn't like her brothers and sister. She didn't like it and she was treated slightly differently from her other family members.

And people saw her differently.

And it hurt her. So she tried to act more like her older brother Emrys. Mature, calm and respected.

But she found it very hard as she wanted to fight and stand for what she believed, since she has seen first hand how stupid and pitiful men can be.

So she then decided
Why should she act like someone she isn't and just be herself. So she did do that. And that's what made her stand out in a both good and bad way. She acted differently.

"Thena! Get down here!" Athanasia shouted at her daughter that was climbing a tree
"Oh, don't worry mum. I'm not that far up-. . ." Athena looked down to see she was actually very high up.

"Oh well that's not good." She munbled
"Ma!" She shouted

"Yes!?" Athanasia shouted back

". . . I'm stuck!"

"Oh god"
Athanasia groaned and shook her head at how stupid her kids can be sometimes.

Athena was trembling and still trying to hold on tight to the tree. She now sees that this was not a good idea.

Suddenly, she felt two strong arms grab her and rip her away from the tree. She looked up and saw ruby eyes stearing back at her.
"Oh. . . . well this is awkward." Athena said as she avoided eye contact with her father.

An irk mark appered on Lucas's face from his daughters respond
"The hell do you mean by that! I just saved you!" He said in frustration.

"Of course you would save me. Your my dad." Athena said bluntly as she and Lucas gently landed on the ground.

Athanasia giggled at her husband who was arguing with a literal child.

"Aren't you supposed to say, "Thank you Dad!" Or somthing like that!?" Lucas saod as he set Athena down. Athena frowns and tilted her head
"Ok. . . Thanks dad, I guess." She mumbled the last part, getting a flick to the forehead.

"Ow! That's child abuse!" She shouted

Lucas scoffed
"Learn some manners." With that. He walked away like a sassy teen.

Athanasia laughed at the relationship her husband and child have.

Athena had a tough love kind of relationship with her father. While Amara had a normal loving father and daughter relationship.

After a few years past. Ambrose was born. By that time, the older twin boys were going through the curse. And it was hard for the family to stay together.

Athena was too busy making herself stronger. And Lucas and Athy were trying to keep the kingdom calm, Emrys was still sick and at that time it was only the maids and the butlers allowed in his room. Afraid the other royals might fall ill as well. Arius was still fighting in wars.

Leaving Amara alone.

She felt useless. Her twin was strong and kept going no matter what. Her parents were always hard working and found a way to help. While she could do nothing but sit and look cute.

Amara looked down in the crib. Little baby Ambrose giggling and reaching out for Amara. Amara felt her heart melting at the cute baby.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure to protect you. I'll protect Thena and big bros too. I'll protect our whole family!"

Amara ment what she said.
So why.

Why is Athena always the one protecting while she's on the side lines.
Why was it Athena who had to be dragged into violent conflicts while she lays in bed, struggling to even move her leg.

Most importantly, why is Athena not here at Ambrose's birthday.

She hadn't been back yet. And Athena always arrived early, especially when it came to Ambrose

Amara was wearing a black dress with golden leaves on it.
"Mother, has Athena been held back for something?"

Athanasia looked at her daughter who was clearly worried. Athanasia could tell her daughter the truth. Not yet.
"Ah, yes. We will see her after the party."

Amara didn't believe her mother's words. Her mother was ways a bad lier.
But she decided to just roll with it, she can't be causing a scene in front of everyone. She'll leave that to Grandma Pandora.

Meanwhile

Athena stood in the middle of the room.
Eyes void of emotion. Yet tears poured from her now blue Jeawled eyes.

"It looks like you've made your choice. . . Family really is important to you. " Pandora said, a amused smirk forming her red lips that was the same color as the walls around Athena
