Blue Butterfly

Begining

This morning is nothing like the others. Sky was clear and cristal blue, clouds were white and it looked like they were soft. I fixed my dark purple hat and look back at my friend, Socker.

"Why are you shaking?" I asked with annoyed voice.

"It's because I'm cold! Can't you see?" His voice was shaking and he couldn't stop moving his hands, it looked like he tried to warm them up.

"Don't be such a lady and move on. You're slow just like that sick old donkey we saw few kilometars away." I ignored his actions and move on even faster. It is fresh but it's not that cold, the night was rainy so the road we're walking on is muddy and wet, small holes in the groud are filled with water.

"Can't you slow down a little?" Socker shouted behind my back.

"Can't you hurry?! You will warm yourself up if you do..." When I looked back over my shoulder I gave him a grin. He just looked up and then suddenly stoped.

"What is it now?" I asked, turning back and giving him a hit on the head.

"Oww! And look!" He pointed his finger at the old gray castle that was placed on one rocky hill. "Isn't that the place we're looking for?"

"Yes, it is... " I took him for the hand and started running in the way of big building.

"James! James! Slow down!" He shouted. "We still have time... "

"Shut up and run faster! This is one chance in a life time that we got job like this!" My legs are moving alone, the feeling of happiness filled my chest. The family who lives in that castle are rich and famous. Sir Loyd and his women, Lady Loyd are one of the friends with Crown what means that king likes them.

"I heard that they have a doughter... Everyone in this part of Alsia knows, but noone ever saw her. "

I heard Sockers voice, he took a deep breath when we stoped right infront of big wooden gates.

"I know..." My voice sounded a bit excited. Just when he wanted to say something else I shouted at the gates. "The hat man and his helper are here!"

Big doors slowly open and one of the guards stood there. He was wearing metal armor and a long sword on his belt.

"You finely came, my master waited for you." He sounded cold and angry.

"My apologies.... We planed to be here in two days, but someone stole our horses so we had to walk all the way from The Capital." I put my hand on shoulder and looked down in shame.

"Well then, that's a good reason. Please, come in." This time, guards voice sounded more calm. Socker just stood there, his eyes were set on 'grumpy' guard. I nodded and followed guard while Socker walked on my right side.

"I will show you the way to the living room, Sir and Lady Loyd are there." Men in armor said and opened one of the doors. "If you need me I'll be right here."

I ignored him and took a few steps inside. Me and Socker just opened our mouths in suprise when we saw how big the room is. Grass green walls are coverd with many paintings of nature and some other people for wich I belive were other members of this big family. In the middle of the room Sir and his wife were sitting on a big sofa.

"So you made it almost in time, hat man!" Lady said with big simle on her face.

"We tought you will never came..." Voice of Sir Loyd was broken, dry and cold. "But, it looks like we were wrong."

"I'm really sorry, my lord." I looked down in respect.

"We had some problems on our way here." Socker said and sat down on one of the chairs. Sir and Lady Loyd just looked at him suprised for few seconds and then they looked back at me, like they were expecting explaination.

"Yeah... I'm sorry for this." I walked clouser to Socker and pulled him up by the messed up brow hair he has. "This is my friend and helper, Socker Konalski. He isn't used to loyal blood families. You see, we usally work for less rich people, ehem."

Socker slaped my arm away when I made him stand.

"Yes, we know that..." Sir Loyd also pulled himself up and looked at me with serious face. "But we also know that you do your job well and that you alweys make childern smile..."

"That may be true but..."

"No but!" Sir said louder. "We tried all other options! Clowns, circus, karnevals, theatars, nothing worked..." His voice was even more broken and a little tired. Lady hold his hand and kissed his head.

"It will be okay, calm down honey." Her voice was warm and soft. "Hat man will be able to make her smile... I know that." She turned her head in my direction.

"I'm sorry, but I don't anderstand what are you talking about..." I asked, confused.

"You have to make our little girl smile. We'll pay as much as you want.... Just made her smile." Sir said and hold his hands together like he's begging me.

"Make your little girl smile? You mean your doughter?!" I was even more confused then before.

"Yes... Even for a day... I just want to see her smile." Said the lord and then he called. "Ariana! Could you please come and meet someone..."

In that moment I opened my mouth to say something but the sound of door opening stoped me. A little girl slowly walked in the room. Her body was skinny but not to much, her eyes were blue like deep ocean, her hair dark brown, almost black, so long that it would tuch the ground when she walked. She looked like a dool with big eyes. Yes, her eyes were big but misty... They were blue like deep ocean but lonely... Nothing took my atencion like her eyes and one, little but visible, blue buterfly on her head.
