Chapter 7: The Prince and the Princess

It's been days since Chi and Sousuke have played. He said he'll be gone for only an hour, and yet, 3 days have passed, no sign of her playmate.

"Mou... I wonder where Sou-chan is..?" She said as she drew some doodles on her sketchpad while eating chocolate-coated cookies.

"And he's gone right when Mama baked his favorite cookies..." She mumbled as she stared at the plate of cookies and grabbed one.

"But I can't eat all of this..." She sighed again before taking a bite. She sat up and jumped on the bed.

"I don't have anything to do today... My school will be hours later..." She plopped herself down the bed and drifted off for an hour.

Chi woke up from the sounds of paper, flipping. She got up from bed and looked at the source of the noise. When she saw who was sitting on the floor, her half-lidded eyes sparkled with joy.

"Sou-cha-" But then again, she was cut off when she saw young Sousuke looking at her doodles in her sketchpad and she blushed madly.

"And the prince, who was once a butler, got married with the princess and they lived happily ever after..." Sousuke recited the last sentence.

"S-sou-chan!" She snatched the sketchbook from his hands and his it under her bed.

"That was great." Was the soft compliment she heard from the boy.

"S-stop it, Sou-chan..." She stuttered. The boy chuckled softly and ate more of the cookies.

Her eyes snapped open.

"...Why... That kind of dream..." She asked herself as she sat up.

"*sigh* Well, it's almost time." She said as she stood up and went to her classroom.
