euphoria, i'm drowin in euphoria
drowin in euphoria*****
I was more than great full for the amount of things that my success has gotten me. But not everything that glitters is golden. Of course I loved being able to wear designer clothing, by things for others, ride around in expensive cars, fly in a private jet. But it all comes at a cost.
Status means having a profile, and keeping up with it was more than a pain in my ass. Especially when I put in all of my energy to not having a background, I didn't truly exist till I was 18. I intend to keep the part of me that "didn't exist" from the public until I was six feet under. Even then I would take that it to the grave.
Once a year a masquerade ball was held by an extremely wealthily family, to so call "honor" the rich and successful. No one exactly knew what they did to become so wealthy, but that was the whole point. The people who attended, where living equal life styles to mine. It's a great way to keep up a profile without actually really needing too. Also another great way to branch out your business.
Here I am, yet another year of attending a ball to cover up my past.

We have been in the dress store for about an hour, it seemed a lot longer than that. Due to the fact that we weren't really getting anywhere.
"Okay this one!" Ivy yelled over the dressing room and threw a dress over the door. I picked it up off the top of the door, practically blinded by the bright pink color. "This is a joke right Ivy?" I eyed the puffy pink dress. "No it's not" she huffed, "it'd look nice on you." I roll my eyes and slip it on.
I looked at myself in the mirror. The dress had reached barley to my ankles, obviously being too tall for this dress. Giving me 2015 homecoming realness. The material was awfuly itchy as well. I pushed open the door to see a patient Ivy waiting for me on the couch.
As soon as her eyes met mine her loud laugh erupted through the room. I tried my best to keep a straight face but couldn't, due to how contagious Ivys laugh was. "I'm sorry I couldn't help it." She says as her laugh dies down. I shake my head playfully.
"Okay I'm going to pick a dress out now because I can't stand being in here for another hour" she stands up from the couch. "Okay I'll pick one out too. This will be the last ones. If you like your pick better then mine I'll let you wear it."
Smiling at the challenge I walk around the store looking for a dress. After a few minutes I'm met with a long beautiful jet black dress. My hands graced along the soft velvet material. It was a long enough dress to where I knew I wouldn't have to get it altered to actually fit. Being 5'9 was always not a walk in the park.
