ANGEL KISSES.

You sat up from the strangely pink hospital bed, staring around the unfamiliar confines with panic in your face. All the while, you couldn't stop asking yourself that one question in your mind over and over again. Where were you? Where the absolute hell were you?

You threw the light pink blanket off of you, noticing that you were now dressed in nothing but a blue polka-dotted hospital gown, and a pair of plain grey socks with blue tips at the end. You stretched the collar out and looked under it, noticing that you now had a large, stitched up scar from your upper chest down to your pelvis. That wasn't the only injury, however, as there were various other small bandages and patches around your body. You shivered as the cold pierced into your bare skin, and you moved the collar back. You ran your hand over your head, only to realize that some of the dye in your hair was coming out, revealing your brown locks.  You were able to tell because of a few hair strands that got on the pillow.

You managed to regain your balance after stumbling onto your feet, almost like you haven't walked in ages, and are trying to figure out how it works again. You were just too dumbfounded. You needed to figure out where you were, and how to get out. Your first course of action was to check the window behind you. You pulled back the pastel pink blinds, looking outside into a pitch black, night-like void. You couldn't see any stars outside. Stars would've made everything a tiny bit more calming right now. But the more you looked outside, the more...fake...it looked. Almost like you were staring at a room that was painted black like a night sky. You thought you could see little chips in the paint as well. But you didn't know for certain. The escape would've been easier if it wasn't.

That is, if the window wasn't locked off by a childproof lock.

You felt like an idiot for not knowing how to unlock one as you got older. Your parents used to use them to lock cabinets so you couldn't get any snacks you weren't supposed to get. Smart of them to, because you never bothered with them. But now you were 19, and you still couldn't figure it out. That marked the window off of the equation. You sighed, closing the blinds again and turning around...

Only to scream and make a face like you've just seen a ghost.

There was now an unfamiliar someone sitting across the bed from you, criss cross, with their hands on their thighs. They had snow pale skin, and rusty gold locks that looked oily and straight. They had no other facial features, other than a single large eye in the center of their face. Around the top of their head was a golden, shiny halo. On their back was a pair of small angel wings. They were dressed in a white cotton dress, and a pair of nice grey slippers.

"B-Beep?! Beep bap bap be? Boop skebop boo...? (W-Who are you...? Where am I? Did you take me here...?)" You spoke to the angel. It wasn't enough. Only complete silence was what she responded with. It barely helped that a humming tune began to play from the broken speakers...wherever they were. It was almost like it was coming from pure nowhere. What song was playing, you didn't know. But it sounded like a calm swing melody playing on an old phonograph. You began to look around the room, trying to figure out where the music was coming from. No luck. You only looked back up, only to see the angel was beginning to bob her head to the music. It was like she was trying to lighten the mood of fear in the horrifying atmosphere between you two. But...you were still hesitant. "Beep...Beepo Bep bob ba...Boop ba boop bebe...(Please...tell me where I am...I want to go home...)" You repeated, hoping to get just...ONE response from the angel. No luck.

You were getting desperate. You grasped onto the angel's sleeve, your knees now sitting on the bare mattress and the thrown to the side blanket of the hospital bed. Her eye looked over to you, and her head stopped bobbing to the music.

"Beep bep baba boop?! Bep bep ba boo! Bee, beep be be ba boopbo?! (Why aren't you answering any of my questions!? I just want to know where I am! Please, just tell me you know something!)"

...

Suddenly, she took the back of your head and brought it under her chin, and wrapping her other arm around your upper back. Her head layed down on the top of your blue hair. You panicked. You looked around for some sort of way to get her off of you. You muttered a small "get off me" under your breath as well. Something she may not've heard as well. You suddenly realized what she was trying to do.

She was trying to calm you down.

This was enough to help you relax. But...not that much. You still had a bunch of leftover knots and butterflies in the bottom of your gut. But you began to feel your eyelids lower as you suddenly began to fall in love with this embrace. It was familiar. But...where could it have been from?

Where...?

Where...?

...

Where?
