CAN'T LEAVE?

Why was all this happening so quickly?

Now, you were holding her pale skinned, cold hand. Now, you were opening the chipped, pastel pink door to a hallway of lies. Now, you were even more confused. This hallway. It looked nothing like a hospital. What was this building? Why was there no one around to ask except for the Angel who was holding your hand?

The hallway you had entered now looked like it belonged in some sort of house. A few doors down the hall, and a closet at the other end, all within a slightly cramped hallway with beige wallpaper. This wasn't your house. Your house wasn't this cramped. "Bep...beep be? (Is this your house?)" You looked at the angel, who only shook her head. Along the other way of the hallway was a spiral staircase. Going downward, you found yourself in what seemed to be the home's living room. It looked hard to tell, considering there was no furniture.

This place felt so familiar as well. Why was that? You couldn't recall seeing any of these areas before...so why were you getting this nostalgic feeling? You put your hand to your cheek, feeling against the bandage on your skin.

What happened to you? You...couldn't remember that either.

Your gaze turned over to the angel, who had come downstairs after retrieving a nice red cushion. You hadn't noticed she left. Your head was too focus on your surroundings that you hadn't seen her leave. Maybe...She could've known. You went up to her, your arms crossing as if you were cold. The air wasn't as freezing as it was in the hospital room. But...it was still cold. It could've been coming from the room next to the staircase, which was supporting a blue-ish light. Wait a minute.

A blue light...?

You jumped, looking over to the doorway to the blue kitchen. A spark of hope. A little bit of happiness. Right on that wall was a window, reflecting the light of morning off of the refrigerator. You completely forgot what you were doing at that moment. This was your way out.

You had to get out of here!

Gulping down a bit of saliva, you nearly lost your hospital robe as you zoomed over to the kitchen. The window wasn't as big as you wished it would've been. But it didn't matter. You HAD to get out. You pounced up onto the kitchen cabinets, opening up the window to your best extent. The sunbeam of the outside world flashed into your eyes. You moved your hand up to your face, trying to look through without the sunlight hurting your eyes. It seemed midday, given how the sky was...uncomfortably...blue. The field outside stretched out beyond you, all patches of green and yellow. It looked like you'd have to run a long way to find a town or a police station if there wasn't one around here, but it would be worth it, right?

You poked your head through the window, before moving your torso through the small opening. You used your hands to press on the house's exterior walls in order to support you all the while. But...only your upper body was able to make it. The rest of it stopped when your pelvis got caught between the upper and lower wooden parts that held the window. You tried pushing yourself through, pulling yourself out. But it wasn't enough. You were stuck.

You found yourself kicking your legs, your shins hitting the edge of the cabinets, causing red marks. Helpless beeps of distress escaped your lips all the while. Thankfully, there was someone around who could hear your distress.

The angel from the inside of the home.

She set down the cushion on the counter top, going behind you and wrapping her pale hands around your ankles. You gasped at the impact, before you felt as if you were about to be split in half. The angel was now pulling you back, trying to get you out of the frame. But holy fuck. You underestimated how painful it would be. "Beep bop! Beep bop! (It hurts! It hurts!)" You yelped as the angel gave another sharp yank at your legs. She wasn't able to hear your plea. And eventually, with a little bit of work, you slipped out of the window frame like butter, and your back hit the Angel and you onto the cabinets on the other side of the room. Well...that marked off one of your escape ideas...Was this it? Were they not letting you leave...?

Were you just stuck here forever...?

...

A sudden beautiful melody picked you up.

You noticed your head moving up towards the sudden noise. Almost like a music box...The angel seemed to have noticed it as well, looking over to the kitchen's exit. Her eye widened. It looked as if she got an idea. She reached her hand to you, as an offer to follow her once again. You trusted her at this point...didn't you? She's treated you so well, even right now when she saved you. Why wouldn't you have taken up her offer?

Your shaky hand grasped onto the angel's as she led you over to the living room's closet, and opened up the door to it's interior.
