Chapter 17

Revenant's POV...

I have now been gone for a month without rest. I have brought some automatic rebooters to keep my energy up so I won't end up collasping on a bounty hunt. I killed around two hundred meatbags, and I was well rewarded. This... is my life. My destiny. Everyone will fear me, and if I die... I'll always return. No matter what. I killed soo many, but some are a good challenge for me which is highly entertaining. If it wasn't, that would be boring.

It was another day in my old hotel room, searching for the new skinsuit that is a wanted one and is worth a lot of money. I found one. He looked similar to Loba's Daddy, but he is dead, so... ugh.

I then got a flashback of (Y/N). I don't miss her. Yes, I do. What!? No, I don't miss that pathetic skinbag. Fine... I miss her soo much that my heart hurts. If I have one...

When I was on my way to kill the next person, I suddenly felt an electrical current run up my body, causing me to fall on the grass, with nothing to see, but darkness...

Revenant has been gone for two months now. Longer than (Y/N) expected.

(Y/N) has been feeling a lot better now and is more active with everybody. Being without Revenant will always hurt, but she learnt to deal with it. She cleaned the house to make it all good as new. The red carpet is now a beautiful crimson. The kitchen counters, sink, taps, fridge, washing machine, and dishes were all sparkly clean. The bed sheets were refreshed and the whole house had been hoovered. It just all seemed new.

"Please come back soon, Revenant."

She then went up to bed for the night.

Revenant woke up and felt different. He looked at his hands to see red claws and white padded hands. He gasped as his new appearance and ran to the cloest mirror. His looked like a skeleton goat.

"What the hell is this!?" He roared looked at his long horns. He had a bunch of hair around neck and chest as he looked down at his lower areas to see he still had the fluffy cloth still there. He also had some on the sides of his legs. That's a relief. His eyes were a mixture of white and yellow. He felt powerful.

(Y/N) was partnered up with Wraith this match as they collected loot, health and shields. They worked together at least once a week. They were an amazing team. Once they see an enemy team they kill them. Most of the time, they are successful. They had been ambused a few times which caused them to die, and out of the Games for that day. Very rare they have two games in a single day, but it has happened once or twice since (Y/N) arrived.

"What shall we do today, Wraith?" (Y/N) asked as Wraith began to think.

"Let's wait. There are a few squads around here. I nearly have enough energy for a portal. That way we can escape the area." Wraith told her.

"Sounds good. I'll keep a look out." (Y/N) went to the window of the building they were in a peeked out of it to see about three squads, all fighting. "U-Uhm... Wraith..." (Y/N) was shocked and her mouth was open. "Who's that?" Wraith looked at her she was on about and her eyes widened.

"I don't know... It's killing everyone!" Her voice was a little loud as the creature saw them, extended their hand and something was flung at them.

"Watch out!" (Y/N) pushed Wraith out of the way and was hit with the shot from the creature's hand. "R-Revenant..."

(Y/N)'s POV...

"(Y/N)!? Can you hear me!?" Wraith yelled as my head spun and my speed was gone. There was blood slowly running down my head as I stood up, away from the window. Wraith grabbed me and closed her eyes, both of us going into the void to get away from which I think is Revenant. As soon as the void ended a grenade went off right by us as we both got flown off our feet and onto the dusty mountain.

(Y/N) was knocked unconscious from the blast as Wraith got onto her hands and knees, coughing up the dust.

"(Y/N)... No." She growled and saw the horned creature walk up to them. "Who are you!?" She got out her R-301, aiming at it. Her eyes were no longer a blue, but more like a clear colour.

"You sure that's a good idea... skinsuit?" His jaw snapped open, he got onto all four and charged at Wraith.
