Clara had been dating Emily for 3 months now, and everything was going really well for them. That is, up until 3 weeks ago when Emily mentioned that Jennifer Jareau had divorced her husband.

Clara couldn't help but notice that Emily seemed a bit too invested in the whole situation, and if Emily Prentiss was having a hard time hiding her emotions something was definitely up.

Ever since Emily brought it up Clara had been especially observant of the two, they all worked in the same building but she worked on a different floor than them, so it was a bit of a challenge.

She'd have to be blind to not notice the lingering stares and touches that felt a little too intimate for "just my best friend" as Emily would put it.

Clara felt a little guilty for not trusting
her girlfriend, but knowing that the pair were constantly away for cases, probably sharing the occasional hotel room made her feel uneasy.

Emily had finally caught up on her paperwork and there were no cases coming in so she decided to go down to Clara's floor and surprise her with lunch.

She really did like Clara, but she'd be lying to herself if she said that JJ's divorce announcement didn't have her feeling mixed up.

She considered ending things, but she wasn't going to throw away the first stable relationship she's had in years for a girl who just got out of a 10 year relationship with a man (that can barely speak english might she add).

That's what she kept telling herself anyway.

Attempting to be an honest and open girlfriend, Emily had tried to casually slip the information about the divorce into a conversation with Clara. Apparently it wasn't as casual as she thought.

Anytime the three of them ended up in the same room, which seemed to happen a lot more lately, Emily could feel Clara watching her every interaction with JJ.

Emily knocked on her girlfriend's office door and waited for her response.

"Come in."

"Hey babe, you got some time to eat?"

"With you? Always." Clara smiled and winked. It was times like these, when Emily randomly showed up for her girlfriend, that reminded her why they were together.

"Great I brought Chinese." Emily handed Clara her go to order from her favourite Chinese restaurant.

"Wow you really do love me." Clara swooned.

They had spent the next half hour talking about anything and everything, save for Emily's team. Both trying to avoid JJ's name in their conversation.

"JJ have you seen Emily? I've gotta get this report to her." Matt asked walking over to the blonde's desk.

"No, but I've got some time, I'll find her and give it to her."

"Oh you really don't have to do that its fi-"

"Please, let me. I'm getting restless, I've been sitting at this desk for hours."

"Alright, thanks jayje."

JJ set on her hunt for Emily Prentiss, Matt's file in hand. She knew that he already would've checked her office, as well as Garcia and Rossi's.

As much as she didn't want to acknowledge it she knew Emily would most likely be with Clara.

JJ made her way to the 7th floor where the IRT worked. As she walked further down the hall she heard quiet music.
