Last night was incredible, thought Yamaguchi. Lying against Tsukishima's shoulder while listening to the playlist he made specially for Yamaguchi was nothing short of perfection. So perfect in fact, that Yamaguchi wasn't even sure if it had happened. It seemed like something from a dream, something that catered to his desires so well that it could only have been made up by his subconscious mind.

Tsukishima felt the same way. It was impossible for something to work out that well, surely last night must have all been a dream, or just a vivid imagination. It must have been, right? Otherwise, Yamaguchi may actually like him.

Throughout the whole day, both boys had more energy than usual, and their professors took note of their sudden increase of participation. The quicker they got their school work done, the quicker they could get back to the library and see each other.

By midnight, Yamaguchi had completed all of his school work and was patiently waiting for Tsukishima to show up. Feeling bad for always accepting Tsukishima's coffee, Yamaguchi had made a little something to give the blonde in return.

"Yams." Tsukishima breathes, jogging over to the table where Yamaguchi is sitting. "Sorry I'm late, I had to make a quick stop." Tsukishima says, then quickly unpacks the decaffeinated coffee, and slides the thermos to Yamaguchi.

"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi says happily. "I have something for you!" he says, excited to see what Tsukishima thinks of his small present.

"Actually, I do too!" Tsukishima says with a huge grin on his face. Although he only half believes that last night actually happened, Tsukishima still feels like he and Yamaguchi had gotten a lot closer.

"It wouldn't have to do with the heavenly smell coming from your bag, would it?" Yamaguchi asks. Tsukishima flashes Yams a grin, nods, then unloads two carry out containers.

"I got us takeout." Tsukishima says, sliding a clamshell of fried rice to Yamaguchi. He hands Yamaguchi a fork and a small stack of napkins, then opens his own food.

"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi squeals, "That's so sweet, thank you." He says, taking a bite of the fried rice. "Now I feel like my gift is silly." Yamaguchi says, his smile fading.

"I'm sure I'll love it." Tsukishima assures. Yamaguchi nods, then pulls a small charm out of his pocket. Upon closer inspection, it's a clay UFO keychain.

"Yams! Did you make this yourself?" Tsukishima asks excitedly, leaning in to get a better view. Tsukishima's face is now incredibly close to Yamaguchi's, as they both leaned closer to the keychain to observe the fine details on it.

"Yeah." Yamaguchi says, sounding a little bit nervous. Does Tsukishima like his present? It took forever for Yamaguchi to make, sculpting all of the small parts out of clay then sticking them together and baking them, it was hard work.

"I love it so much, thank you!" Tsukishima says excitedly. He takes the small keychain and attaches it to a zipper on the side of his backpack. "Oh I could just kiss you." Tsukishima exclaims. The words slipped out of his mouth and immediately, he regretted saying them.

Upon hearing these words, Yamaguchi's heart flutter. Kiss? Tsukishima? A week ago, he would never have expected that he would fall in love with some guy that broke into the library and met him, and yet here he was.

"Sorry, that was a weird thing to say. I meant that I just really liked it." Tsukishima apologizes. "I'm sorry." He repeats.

"I wouldn't have stopped you." Yamaguchi thinks, or no, says. He hadn't meant for his thoughts to come out of his mouth, although now it's too late to put them back.

"What?" Tsukishima asks, not sure if he had heard Yamaguchi correctly. It sounded like Yamaguchi wanted Tsukishima to kiss him, but it could have just been another figure of his imagination.

"I- umm, I just said that-" Yamaguchi stutters. Deciding that Yamaguchi was worth the risk of being wrong, Tsukishima cuts off his excuse with a kiss over the mouth. Realizing what he did, Tsukishima quickly apologizes.

"Shit, I'm sorry. That was not-" Tsukishima is cut off this time, by Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi overlaps his lips with Tsukishima's, and wraps his arms around Tsukishima's torso. Tsukishima closes his eyes and relaxes his body, allowing Yamaguchi to take control of the kiss.

After an amount of time, which felt to the boys to be far too short, the kiss ended and both Tsukishima and Yamaguchi gasped for air. After their kiss, neither boy wanted to be the one who broke the silence, so the two of them quietly finished their takeout food.

Once the two of them finished eating though, there was no avoiding talking about the kiss they had just shared. Neither one wants to be the first to speak, but by now, it would be more awkward to let the silence continue then say something.

"So," Tsukishima prompts, trying to get a feel or what Yamaguchi thought of the whole situation.

"So," Yamaguchi repeats. Yamaguchi didn't want to give his opinion on the kiss before he knew what Tsukishima's thoughts on it were. Unfortunately for Yamaguchi, Tsukishima felt the same way. Neither wanted to say that they enjoyed it because they were both so fearful that the other didn't.

"Yeah?" Tsukishima says, trying to give his general opinion without going into any detail. In response to Tsukishima's vague answer, Yamaguchi nods.

"Yeah." Yamaguchi agrees with a smile. He lifts the empty takeout containers onto a chair and climbs on top of the table. "Will you lay down with me?" Yamaguchi asks Tsukishima. Tsukishima smiles and nods. They lie on top of the table together, looking up at the stars through the glass ceiling, holding hands.

"Do you think aliens are real?" Yamaguchi asks Tsukishima. Most of the discussions they have had have been about philosophy, so Yams though it might be nice to talk about space for a change.

"Depends on what you define as an alien," Tsukishima says. "Do I believe in extraterrestrial life? Yes, one hundred percent. Do I believe in little green people with antennas? Not as much." Tsukishima explains.

"So you mean to tell me that I'm never going to get beamed up into a spaceship and asked about what things on Earth do?" Yamaguchi asks.

"Is that what you think of when you think of aliens?" Tsukishima laughs. "Unfortunately, no, that will probably never happen." Tsukishima tells Yamaguchi.

"My take on it is that the universe is far too large and has far too many habitable planets in it for none of them to have life on them. Although if I had to guess, the life on those planets might be more like some micro bacteria or a plant rather than something that looks like E.T. with a laser shooting gun." Tsukishima says.

"You know, for being an astronomer, that was a pretty philosophical speech right there." Yamaguchi jokes, poking Tsukishima's rib cage gently with his elbow. "You're probably right, on some distant planet, there is probably some small little algae that unfortunately will never invade Earth with crazy spaceships that travel at lightspeed." Yamaguchi says.

"Unfortunately? Were you looking forward to an alien apocalypse?" Tsukishima asks, suddenly curious about Yamaguchi and his goals. "Or maybe you're the one planning it!" Tsukishima lightheartedly accuses with a fake gasp.

"I'm not an alien." Yamaguchi assures Tsukishima. Tsukishima turns his head to look at Yamaguchi rather than the sky full of stars.

"That is exactly what an alien would say." He jokes.

"Awe shoot, you've got me. You're right Tsukki, I'm an alien who's been playing the role of an Earthling this whole time. You caught me." Yamaguchi explains sarcastically.

"I knew it!" Tsukishima exclaims "So tell me, what planet are you from? Do you naturally look like a human, or is this some type of cloning technology. What Galaxy are you from?" Tsukishima asks quickly.

He inhales deeply, preparing himself to let out another string of questions, but is cut off by a quick peck on the lips.

"Wouldn't you like to know, Space Boy?" Yamaguchi whispers into his ear.
