WAKKO'S POV- Realizing in a moment that these powers are the answer as to why Yakko shut himself away for so long and feeling responsible for pushing him to the edge, Wakko's more determined than ever to get him back and instantly volunteers to go on the search for him. Strange ice powers are nothing compared to the longing to have his brother back in his life. With his sister by his side and after a change of clothes and enlisting the help of a more experienced mountaineer, he's ready to journey forth to bring summer back and reunite his family. Mountain-climbing, convincing Yakko to come home... How hard could it possibly be?

DOT'S POV- It takes a while for Dot to get over the shock of this new insane discovery, and she's definitely not quite over it when Wakko volunteers to go looking for Yakko. Without questions, she announces she's going with him yet she makes it VERY clear that she's not going for Yakko's sake. Rather, she knows her brother has a terrible sense of direction and she won't risk two dopes getting lost in the snow. She doesn't admit it, but she's also scared that Wakko's naivety in this delicate situation might actually end up hurting him this time. Either way, she runs the risk of losing him and that's something she can't bear. She doesn't know how they can fix this. She doesn't even know IF they can. All she knows is that ice powers or not, the king has shirked his duties and all it might take to set him straight is a swift kick to the seat of his pants. And she won't particularly complain if it's her boot to do the honors.

YAKKO'S POV- Having escaped high up into the mountains, Yakko convinces himself that he cannot return to his kingdom. While he misses his brother and sister and realizes this still means he'll be alone...it also means that he no longer has to hold back. Literally tossing his restraints to the wind, he is finally free to be himself again and let his powers go to whatever their limits might be. With newfound sass and confidence, Yakko needs naught but an orchestrated move of the hands to build himself a glorious ice castle on the side of the mountain. Finally able to embrace the powers he so often called a curse, the runaway monarch has now become the king of ice and snow. He has no idea that his homeland is suffering in eternal winter, or that his brother and sister are already on their way to find him and with hope mend their broken bond.

Yakko kept running and running as far as his legs could carry him, not daring to look back. He had no clue of where he was going nor did he care; his secret was out and had to get away...yet...remembering the faces of his people, especially his siblings, continuously flashed within his mind. It then suddenly dawned on him that he had stopped running and was now walking up a slope of a mountain. How he got here, he couldn't remember for his mind was too focused on all the memories that were flooding into his head.

Now that the threat was gone, Yakko continued to walk up the slope but stopped at one point to look back. He didn't like the fact that he had to abandon his siblings...AGAIN...and felt terrible for putting them through so much for so many years. He should've realized sooner that they were miserable, and thinking back, he probably could've worded his reply to them better. Not that it mattered anymore. Hugging himself by the arms, shoulders hunched, he continued to walk up the slope. He paused to look up at his crown, the same crown that had been adorned onto his father's head and his forefathers before him. What had HE done to earn it? Just been born in the right place at the right time?
