the king's fear-Everyone's in for a rude awakening when this is proven wrong and the king's youngest son, Wakko, is the victim. While he enlists the help of Professor Otto a dear friend and advisor to the royal family William and his wife can't help but worry when Yakko voluntarily shuts himself away from his brother and sister. They understand he's scared of what he can't control and of course don't want to risk their little ones getting hurt but they're well aware that Yakko is also in harm's way if he lets his fear control him. The king and queen constantly struggle to find a balance between intervening to help their eldest past his fears, and keeping distance so as not to drive him further into a corner. As he grows, they begin to fear that they've only made things worse by this. Still, William holds firmly to the belief that Yakko has the makings of a great king and will rise to that occasion. While his lessons in royalty are grating and demanding as William can sympathize with Yakko has proven time and again that he possesses the knowledge and poise of a king. All that stands in his way is his own fear.

True to his title, Sir William the Good has maintained kindness and wisdom in everything throughout his rule over Acmendelle, as well as his guiding role as a father. Having come from a humble background, he and his wife Angelina have always strived to teach their sons and daughter that they shouldn't be ashamed of any part of themselves - it makes them who they are. By nature, King William has a definite playfulness that very few besides his family truly see. It was not strange for him to turn a royal history lesson with his sons into a practice sword duel - in which the lessons are STILL taught. Education through entertainment he IS still a Warner boy after all. It certainly was a shock when their oldest was born with mysterious ice powers that no one could explain. But no one Yakko included ever expected these powers to ever be strong enough to harm. Inside the kingdom of acmendelle in the middle of the night  Wakko asleep in his bed.
